How do you feel about Allegaint being put into 2 movie?

I think it would make more sense if Insurgent was split into 2 parts because it has the most action. Allegiant barely has no action until {WARNING ALLEGIANT SPOILERS!} Tris dies.
{SPOILER ENDS}. But it's all about the money.

I hate it when movie companies split the last movie into two movies just to make more money. If they split Allegiant into two movies like they are doing with Mockingjay I will be so ticked.
@Rebecca
They are obviously going to split Allegiant into two parts. I mean look at Twilight and Harry Potter and Hunger Games. They do that with every last movie/book adaptation.

I don't know cause I liked the book, but I didn't think it had that many details, so I don't think it needs to be TWO movies.

That's a really good idea!
I think it's unnecessary cuz it's not that big of a book i think if would all fit in 1 movie.. But i wouldn't mind seeing Theo James' face as Tobias so why not? Lol but really i mean for example Harry Potter, DH being made into 2 movies was good cuz the book has many things But no for Allegiant i dont think it's needed
@Sr_xo28 Harry Potter started the Parts trend lol but to me DH needed the parts cuz it was detailed but i dont think THG and Divergent need that cuz both books werent so detailed and long so i think they would fit into 1 movie ( idk about Twilight tho lol havent read it)
Ok both twilight, the hunger games and divergent are being made by lions gate. They certainly like trilogies. The mocking jay ((which I am freaking out waiting for it to come out, November 21)) is in two parts and so is Alliegent. Notice those are the last books in their series. Twilights last movie was in two parts so lions gate takes the last book from trilogies and splits it in half to get more money from it. Smart on their half but sad fro me and everybody else to wait.
I agree with Athen, they are purely splitting the movie because of money. There is really no other reason for them to do it. To me, Allegiant had the least happening of all the books. I seriously don't know how they're going to make the movies exciting and not angst-overload. I'm not convinced that they're going to stay true to the book at all.
They are only splitting it in two because they will get more money. Think about it... One movie=money two movies= double the money
That was my point up there ^....
Like I already said, if they split it into two movies than they have absolutely no reason to leave anything out
Good point, allegiant((which btw I like JUST finsihed reading two seconds ago)) is being spilt up which means they can add a lot of detail I to the movies from the books. I guess the whole part 1 and part 2 thing have their own pros and cons

I concur! If they break it into two, I truly believe that they will add more scenes and might even stray away from the book due to the low climatic book scenes.
noooooo ;(i'll probably have to wait for another year!!!
which means i have to wait until march for insurgent and the rest for allegiant which means i have to wait about for another 2 years???
I find it kind of annoying because if the last book is the last book than there shouldn't be a movie with two parts. Its just keeps the trilogy dragging on. I prefer to get to number 3 and than move on to another series. Its an annoying trend. I hope future series would do this. I actually like Percy Jackson and City of Bones.
i think if it is split into 2 movies it will create suspense, but i would prefer it to be 1 full movie.
I think it's because they're changing stuff, if they are changing insurgent(or at least some things), they can be planning on doing the same with Allegiant
HAVING TWO PARTS MIGHT TURN OUT WELLalligent has a lot of details and stories to it so if they make it good, its going to be good (thumbs up :P )
Money making.I WON't WATCH ALLEGIANT MOVIE If TRIS die so illogically same as the Book.
I won't watch (and also ask all my friends to boycott/ not to watch) Allegiant.
Anyway, as long as TRIS live, if movie decide to have ALTERNATE ENDING, as it should be, I would watch whatever how many parts they divide. Maybe TEN+ TIMES :-)
It would be Very COURAGEOUS MOVE of the MOVIE-MAKERS, and Roth if they dare to alter like this, while letting their dear fans ENJOY the real ENJOYMENT.
I don't like how its happening to all the last movies of a book series e.g. Harry Potter, Mockingjay, Twilight and now ALLEGIANT?!??!

Allegiant Part 1 and Part 2 Have Been Retitled as The Following. Allegiant and Ascendent

It's so sad that they are changing the name of the 2nd movie! I don't think I can wait until they come out!

Making Allegiant into two movies is nothing but a cash grab. There's no reason to make it so otherwise, because if Insurgent, the most action packed book of the series, isn't two parts, why make the most drawn out book of the series into two parts? Money. Moolah. Simoleons
Harry Potter made a bit of sense. Mockingjay certainly doesn't, and neither does making the Hobbit into three movies when the book is shorter than any of the Lord of the Rings books. Splitting Allegiant is cleary a mistake.
