I read this Harlquin at least 10 years ago, so I assume it's from the 1990s or early 2000s. IIRC, the H is Brazilian and the h is English.
The h travels to Brazil to get an inheritance. The man who died used to be her mom's client (mom was a prostitute) and came to care for her.
The H, that man's son, despises her and her mom. He thinks she's exactly like her mom.
I remember the H owned a car manufacturer and he was really proud of his cars. The h and H are attracted to each to each other and at one point, they go to the Rio Carnival together.
I think her name might have been Jane, or something similar.
