The Honourable Schoolboy question

I'd have to reread it to answer that. But you might find some new revelations in A Legacy of Spies.

1 -- I think Smiley did order Fawn to kill Jerry. I think Smiley concluded that Jerry would be killed in action on the island by the Cousins, so he might as well have Fawn do it to ensure the conclusion of the mission.

2 -- It sure looks like Enderby gave it to the Cousins. Guillam certainly thinks he did, and late in the book Guillam reckons that George knows this, although it's never directly discussed between them.
