I've read the first 5 chapters.

This seems ok so far. I can see some similarities between this and Fallen. So far I like (view spoiler)[ Eureka more than Luce. I always found Luce selfish and inconsiderate (I've only read the first book of the series, though). Eureka's having a hard time dealing with her mother's death so she's cranky at times and I get it. However, I hope she would open up more or return to running. It would be healthier than isolating herself. (hide spoiler)]

I wonder what's so (view spoiler)[ dangerous about Eureka that she needed to die. Obviously it has something to do with her crying and her moods being somehow connected to the weather. Her mother probably knew because why otherwise she would have told her never to cry again. (hide spoiler)]

I'd like to know what happened to (view spoiler)[Ander after he failed his mission and saved Eureka instead of making sure she died. I wonder if he was punished somehow. And is he now free to be with Eureka or is he still on a mission? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15

Hmmm...(view spoiler)[ now I think Brooks knows something too. I thought he had feelings for Eureka but I'm surprised Eureka's not more into him. I thought this would be a love triangle...well, I guess it still can be. (hide spoiler)]

If I was Eureka (view spoiler)[ I'd stay away from Ander. He acts like a real creep. And what's with the phone number? He didn't realize Eureka would find out it's not his number? (hide spoiler)]

This was ok, not spectacular but interesting enough.

I'd like to know (view spoiler)[ what actually happened when Eureka cried. Now we just know there was a flood but that's it. I would have liked to see what happened in Atlantis or how Atlantis rising again affected the world. But I guess that's for the sequels. (hide spoiler)]

I wonder if the seedbearers (view spoiler)[ will play a bigger part in the next book because now they should be Eureka's allies. After all, she's the only one that can defeat Atlas. And I wonder how Ander will break her heart. (hide spoiler)]

I didn't really get the point of (view spoiler)[the thunderstone. Why did Eureka's mother have it? It's great it enables Eureka to breath underwater but being part of Selene's bloodline, shouldn't she have gills or something, too? And the locket....why did Diana seal it shut? (hide spoiler)]

Interesting what happened to (view spoiler)[ Brooks. Maybe the sequel will have chapters from his point of view as well. (hide spoiler)]
