I'm playing catch up on this challenge since I've already bought or borrowed three books. Plus I keep adding books I've read that have been given to me by NetGalley. I don't count those on the bought or borrowed list because I didn't buy or borrow them, but I count them as books I own that I've read toward the challenge. That means even though I've completed 7 of these challenge logs my list of unread books that I own isn't really shrinking very much. I know I'm probably cheating by doing it this way, but it doesn't seem to be benefiting me anyway.

I like the idea of counting Netgalley titles towards the total, I might do that as well. :)

Thanks Laura! I am only counting the borrowed titles towards what I get to buy/borrow. They do not count in the three books read for the challenge. I don't borrow that many books though, so I'm debating just not counting them at all.

Oh! So you are compensating even for borrowed books with your owned titles? That is awesome!!

I had a huge problem with not being able to stop buying books and after this challenge last year I finally managed to switch from buying to borrowing. Mostly that is, but now I try to buy only what I loved after borrowing. And of course what comes highly recommended or I need to complete a series.
Still a long way to go till I'll be able to compensate for the borrowed titles also.

So again: Awesome job!!
