I'm getting the distinct impression that "today's" generation - meaning, the *grandchildren* of those who lived through WW II - do NOT realize that this is not a work of fiction.
In fact, while they do seem to have some vague understanding of "Nazis" and "Fascists" and 'Hitler", etc. etc. they're unable to place those things in an actual historical context. Hence someone's asking what this book is "About", on another thread.
