I can´t picture Kaya as Alaska... I think the perfect one for the role would be Ashley Benson. When I see her in Pretty Little Liars (As Hanna)I always think of it.
I'm agree with Asa as Pudge, He`s amazing. Could be The Colonel a bald Sam Caflin? I've always thought about this character with that haicut. And I don't have any idea with Takumi, but "Mike Chang" is just a fictional name, the actor is Harry Shum Jr. and he has chinese descent, not japanese.

Alaska - Ashley Benson or Gabriella Wilde, as they dont seem as clean cut as all the others, and i cant seem to picture Kaya as Alaska. I think Ashley Benson maybe a little too edgy, but hey im open for other options.
Miles - Asa Butterfield as he seems 'Tall and Skinny' at 5 foot 10 (1.78m)and judging by pictures of him he seems pretty skinny. He also seems to look kind of awkward, which i always imagined with Miles.
Chip - I cant seem to make my mind up due to the description of him 'Five feet tall and built like an Adonis' and all of the suggestions dont seem to appeal to me.
Takumi - I think Harry Shum Jr would suit this role, even though he has Chinese descent not Japanese, he just seems like someone who would be a good emcee, due to his role on Glee.
Lara - I always imagined her to have long, straight black hair, and to have a petite figure, buit i cant seem to think of anyone who would work well with this role.

I also have some added worries regarding some of my suggestions due to the fact that Asa Butterfield was born in Islington, this could cause a problem as obviously Miles is from Florida, so it leads me to wonder wether or not Asa is good at accents, or maybe someone else would be more suitable for this role. Someone from American descent ofcourse, or atleast somnebody who is good at portraying other accents. And obviously the same goes for whoever they choose to play any of the other characters.

I don't really like the idea of them making a movie, I feel like they can't really capture the feelings in a movie; but if they really are, Alaska should be played by Britt Robertson from Life Unexpected and Pudge should be played by either Dylan O'Brien or Asa Butterfield...
