[Group Events] F2F31: A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens | July 26, Saturday, 2PM | Cab Cafe, Kapitolyo, Pasig
I have no idea (or cannot remember, since it was years when I food-tripped along Kapitolyo) what the cafe caters. Perhaps they offer a wine of some sort? :)
ELLA: Let me check this. I thought I saw a selection of beer (Stella Artois is what I remember, but there are others). I worked for a French boss and he gifted me with red and white wine. Been chilling in the fridge for a while now. Will check with the cafe guys if we can bring in wine.
SHEENA: Hi! If you're too far from Pasig, maybe you can join us for the online film showing? We'll post the details so watch out for it :)

#repostHi everyone!
On July 25, we'll be having an online screening of the 1935 film adaptation for Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. We hope you could join us!
Check out this thread for details: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Thank you, and I hope you can watch along with us :)
HOW TO GET TO THE F2F VENUE:From EDSA/Shaw: Ride a Pasig-bound jeepney and get off at Bgy. Kapitolyo (there’s a BPI at at the corner beside Mercury Drug). You can either:
1. Walk
From BPI, the venue is just two corners away from the main gate. Just walk the stretch of West Capitol Drive on the left side of the road until you reach Café Juanita. On the next corner turn left at Ramen Cool. Walk past Ninak and 3 Sisters. When you see Charlie’s on your right, Cab Café is right after it.
2. Ride a tricycle
When you enter the main gate, look for Andok’s on the right side of the road. There’s a tricycle queue just a few steps away. Ask manong driver to take you to Cab Café beside Charlie’s.
From Taguig: From Bagong Ilog, ride a Quiapo-bound jeepney/FX and get off at Capitol Commons across Bgy. Kapitolyo. Follow steps above.
From Ortigas/Rizal: The JRC/Crossing-bound jeepneys from Taytay/Binangonan/Antipolo pass by Shaw Blvd. so you can get off at Capitol Commons and follow instructions above.
Congrats Ycel and DC! It was super rainy but super fun. Titili na lang ang Team London, haha! #VioletGuava

For those who wanted to see The Rant's comment... mwehehehehe soon. ;)
I enjoyed everything. It was so fun meeting you guys again. And I am proud because I read the unabridged classic version of the book. I still have the lingering feels of the rolling cheeseballs from book 2, chapter 13: A Fellow of No Delicacy. Mwahahahahaha
Awww, guys! Thank you ever so much for reading ATO2C and indulging your mods. It was great seeing you passionately rant/question/criticize the story. May bonus pang history lesson :) If one day you trod the streets of London and Paris, I hope you remember this book and Sydney Carton.Super thanks to DC for coming to the rescue when July discussion/F2F was threatened to be cancelled. Always great collaborating with you :)
And if you want the shirt, just post your size here. DC wore medium yesterday, I wore small.

Meliza wrote: "DC: I'll take Tin's shirt for her. I'll give her payment too. :)"All right, I'll also hand over hers to you when we meet :)
Hi guys!Eek, sorry, ngayon ko lang nakita messages niyo.
Let me check with the supplier if pwede. I'm thinking it might cost more than P250 if it's a white print on a black shirt, but I'll let you all know ASAP (like hopefully next week) :)
Also updated list to include Angus, Ella and Marie. (Marie, what size? Kung pareho nung akin, medium ako.)
As for payment: It can be COD, or bank deposit :) Haha :D
Hi everybody,Just an update on the black shirt / white print. I asked the supplier, and it's still at P250 :) Here's a sample image of what I sent off:
Nevertheless, I'm having a sample shirt made just to be sure it would turn out right. I'll post pics once I get it.
I hope to get the shirts printed before the upcoming F2F this August, so you guys can just ready payment by then :)
