Would I be lost?

I don't really like the plots for the other books in the series, but I really want to read this one. Would I be completely lost and not know what's happening/who's who if I decided to give this one a go? Thanks a bunch!!

They really need to be read in order as they all build on eachother. There is way more than "a wee bit" of backstory in the other books. Dorothy, Jase and Hawk and their relationship are mentioned in every book. Plus, a good portion of this story will not make sence because you really have to know all the characters for it all to fit together. None of these books in this series are stand alones IMO.

I think you need to read them all, I just can not see how you would understand what is going on other wise.

I think so. This book relies heavily on Dorothy, Hawk, and Jase's back story.

Glenda Torres I do too!! To be honest i'm not disappointed in how ZZ evolved in this book. After everything that happened to him, his rage is justified. Not his act ...more

There is a wee bit of back story so you could but the side stories won't make sense and leave you skimming . . . the book (& series) is too good for that.

You need to read them all. Most of their story takes place in the other books. There is NOT a love triangle now. The cover makes you think there is, but there is not one. It was- but the decision is made very early on.

This series is just too good to pass up - read them all ! They are very gritty & raw - a nice change from predictable romance

If you really want to FEEL the story........in all it's angst and grit........read the series from book one. They'll make you really think.

You would not appreciate the story without the background, I think... also, the first in this series are so so so so good... you should really start there. To be honest with you, I'm not sure this is enjoyable at all as a stand alone. Only someone who knows these characters would like this book.

Yeah, I have to go with majority consensus. You definitely should read the others before starting this book. You would understand it, but you wouldn't care as much about the characters without getting their back story in the previous installments of the series.
