Good Reads has now included individual comic book issues both old and new in the website. We will add a monthly comic book discussion now as well.

Please suggest one comic book only (new or old) for our comic book discussion for September 2017. If you suggest more than one, then the first choice will be added only. Thank you.

In Shadow Show, acclaimed writers and illustrators come together to pay tribute to the work of the one and only Ray Bradbury, the incomparable literary artist who has given us such timeless classics as Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles, The Illustrated Man, and Dandelion Wine. Up first is ÒBy The Silver Water of Lake Champlain,Ó written by Joe Hill and adapted by Jason Ciaramella (The Cape) and Charles Paul Wilson III (Wraith). In this haunting story, Gail and Joel, two young teens, form an unlikely bond over the discovery of a lifetime. But their lives will soon be changed, forever altered by what they found that foggy day by the silver waters of Lake Champlain.

Rhino's Den (the_Rhinos_Den) | 4 comments Detective Comics #583, written by John Wagner and Alan Grant, illustrated by the legendary Norm Breyfogle.
This issue is not only the start of one of my favorite creative runs by Grant and Breyfogle, but it also features the first appearance of Scarface and the Ventriloquist. Oh, and did I happen to mention that this is the issue that was published on the same month and year that I was born in?
