This is the place to discuss anything that occurs in chapters 1-17.

There were some developments here that I really liked! The reveals about the Darkling, and the protagonist setting off alone, reinvigorated my interest in the book.

Mal seems kind of slut-shame-y and immature. I’m hoping that this is dealt with in the remaining part of the book.

Not sure how the whole stag-capturing thing will work.
