All seems to be going well for Cork at the beginning of the story...Jenny's in college, Annie's ready to graduate and he's content running Sam's Place and conducting private investigations. Was he really satisfied to no longer be in law enforcement? Was he compromising or choosing his current vocation?

Phrynne | 607 comments I still think he is compromising judging by the speed with which he always leaps in to help every time there is s a case.
