Yes Jeannie this is where you post your books.

I'm a little confused by some of them. The clues (similarities) are listed between the books they connect. Maybe it's where the clues are posted - below the books instead of between?

Every book in the chain doesn't have to connect to every other book. Each book needs to have at least one thing in common with the book just before it. The book can have a different clue/connection with the book just after it.

Hope this helps:

1. Dead in the Water by Denise Swanson
Clues* = school, police sig't other, tornado/hurricane, small town? ghost?
2. Grave Errors by ..
Clue = hurricane, coastal, police friend, ghost
3. Ghostal Living by ..
Clue = ghost, ...
4. Southern Fried

*Scumble River is in Indiana. Unless they moved the town for the series reboot, it's not coastal. Books #2 & #3 are coastal settings so that clue appears between them. Is there a ghost in the Swanson book? Is Salem, MA a small town?

Helen (helennn) | 1020 comments I've just started my third book which I've posted above.
This challenge has led me in unexpected directions, as the clue I was expecting when I started the first book wasn't there.
However, after some hiccups finding a third book, I think it has already given me a clue to my fourth.

message 65: by Jess (new)

Jess (mividadulce) | 145 comments Just started a book which has an unexpected clue to the previous book I read for this challenge. I love how I can just bump into a non-planned clue so I decided to take it, though I was thinking of another book as the next one to read with a completely different clue.

Julesy | 409 comments Great job, Nell! This challenge is pretty fun. Some clues are clearly evident, but you don't always know there will be a clue until you actually read a book. That's what makes this challenge fun.

Jess (mividadulce) | 145 comments I'm closed to complete my first challenge up to felony (10 books), and not sure if I'll keep going to capital offense or start a new one. It's trickier to stay within the same challenge as you cannot use the same series twice. Will think about it while I read my last book.

You can't use books in the same series twice in a row. The clue between books can't be that they are books in the same series. You CAN use another book in the series later in the clue chain.

EX: (#5 and #8 are from the same series)
5. A Quiet Life In The Country by T E Kinsey
Clue = Victim strangled; setting at country estate, shown on cover
6. Death of a Greedy Woman by M.C. Beaton
Clue = Coastal setting and scene on cover
7. Devil's Breath by G.M. Malliet
Clue = Set in England
8. A Day Out At The Market by T E Kinsey
