That's a lovely thing to do, Arnaud! Just make sure you keep it reasonable on your side too, while it totally has to be a not-for-profit-thing, we also don't want you to spend too much money on this. :)
BTW, if you are interested, i can do some badges to add as a goodie when you do a contest to win a signed book or something else. :-)
Okay, i replied to my private messages. :)I will send several badges to people who asked me.
Of course, i can't send a thousand badges everywhere. So when you will receive the badges, you can by yourself send it to someone else.
Do you agree ?
BTW, if an admin could rename the title of the topic by OSS Badges, that would be great. :)

It's a great idea to pass them along!
Okay, guys :)I have already 6 packages to send. So for the moment, i won't send more.
Thank you for your support ;-)
Phoebe wrote: "This seems like such a good idea- like a way we can identify people out from OSS :)":) Now that would be nice to come across! Other people from OSS!
Yes it would be interesting to see (if people wore them everyday) how many people you might run into over a period of time. ;)
Anytime I see someone reading a book of an author selected by OSS (for example last weekend in the Parisian métro, a girl was reading Why the Caged Bird Sings, by Maya Angelou) I want to ask them whether they're part of OSS. But I don't want to be intrusive (also, "Our Shared Shelf" is complicated to say and understand for a French person ^^), badges would help :-D

I was wondering for a long time now if I am the only one in my city or not.
Slightly off-topic: Having been a feminist for fourty years, I have never until now, been able to actually claim to be such. (This unfortunate happenstance of having been born male, don'cha know) Is there any way I can officially join HeforShe?

There is:
You can register at the HeforShe website, which you can find here, and then choose your gender (either He, She or specified):
http://www.heforshe.org/en/commit
Well, and then off you go with your commitment;)
Phoebe wrote: "I have just joined the HeforShe website too, thank you for the link! I hope I'm not too young :)"Nah, no one is too young for HeforShe(or being a feminist).

Thanks a lot!
Thanks Robert :)Just one thing :
Remove them from backpack if it rains, because it could rust a bit.
Click on the link a few comments down or up depending how you are looking at this, once you join it tells you many ways you could help, etc
I received my pins yesterday and I just want to say they are beautiful! I will make sure to share the other 3 with my friends and maybe hide one of the pins with a OSS book. Thank you so much!
You're welcome :)Do not hesitate to share pictures of the badges on instagram or any social networks. ;-)
Hello guys !Who already got their badges ? I know there are already some people who got them but someone sent me a message to say that when she got the package, the badges weren't inside anymore. :(
I will try to do a more secured package
I will send some probably next week to the people who already asked me and then i will stop.
Another bunch of badges sent. :)As i told you it will be the last one.
If you are interested i can give you the paper to print badges yourself. :)

I just take the actual logo and make it a badge.
Of course, it is completely free :)
I gave around ten badges to Hannah when i met her at London Meet up on 21st July.
Maybe she still has some, so if you are from London, you can ask her by private message.
I can send some badges too. Just ask me by private message.
I don't get any profit for that.
You can see a photo of the badges on the photo section of the group. :-)
