You guys are killing my "Too Read" list! So many additions from this podcast!

It's amazing how far comic content has expanded in the last 40 years. Finding a gateway comic for a newbie of any age can be challenging but there is so much out there to choose from it's only a matter of time and perseverance.

I'm working on trying to get my 47-year-old girlfriend into comics. She's loves anime but hates manga so her tastes are a little puzzling when it comes to finding a good comic to read. Any suggestions are welcome!

Hmmmm. Off the top of my head, I would say some of her faves are Deathnote, Hakuoki, Hellsing, Psycho Pass, The Gokusen, Assasination Classroom and the Ghibli studio feature films like Spirited Away and Castle in the Sky. She likes a lot of different stuff!

Wayward by Jim Zub might be a good choice. I've only read the first volume but it's got a sort of anime vibe to it. Golem is another she might enjoy. Klaw: The First Cycle is alright. The art and story might appeal to her though. Monstress, Vol. 1: Awakening could be good if she likes stories with anthropomorphic characters and adult content.
