(view spoiler)[lol okay I don’t know what this book is about at all, but so far it’s giving selection vibes. Xander, her best friend, is her match! Kinda cool. So everything they do is controlled by the government, yet Cassie is already seeing the cracks. Oh my, she might not actually be matched with Xander - she saw another dude in her match box!!! That’s so cool. RH anyone?🤣🤣 I’m already rooting for the other guy bc Xander is a bit much. Poor Ky aw, he’s deemed ‘Dwalingen’ (I’m reading in Dutch so I'm not sure what the English terms are) and there are Afwijkingen (divergents?) as well. It reminds me a lot of existing books lol.

I don’t fully get the pills - why do they get them from their family and what’s their use? Her grandfather will go on - he’ll die then? During some sort of banket? I’m guessing he’ll take that red pill? Can’t say the world is clear so far, it’s all quite vague. I do like the idea, there’s definitely potential. (hide spoiler)]

Maybe because of the food - that’s why they can’t share it with their guests? Can’t wait for her to start questioning her society. I wonder what Ky’s story really is / whether those people who adopted him were rebels or something bc it’s odd that their kid died, and I wonder if Ky saw his parents die bc he cried during the movie?

The hiking was cool, but it was dangerous for her to read the poems. Loving Ky, we’ve barely seen Xander? Her father lost her grandfather’s biological material - that was definitely her grandfather’s request to him ngl. I wonder what he said to the others. Her father is an Authority and so were her grandfather and grandmother?? Damn didn’t expect that. I wonder whether her father found something in those books and is hiding it. She burned the poems - I don’t get why. I mean, they were in that powder box for ages already and no one knew, so why would they know now? (hide spoiler)]

That seems stupid as hell. Em had a panic attack and Xander gave her his green tablet - interesting how quickly that worked? Loving her raltionship with Kay, although I do feel bad for Xander :(

ky gave her his artefact damn! Not sure why, and he’s going to teach her how to write yay. Aw no he’s already distracted by that Livy girl, I hate it :( dammit Ky. She can’t be jealous tho bc she’s literally kissing Xander in the meantime.

They’re coming for the artifacts aaaaaah DAMMIT EM!! Knew she’d be trouble. Xander is quite good tho, he wanted to help her hide the artefact! Omg they’re all so cute - but Xander must know something is going on. And what is their government hiding? Ky’s story was so odd - they killed his parents with something, and his entire town? Then why keep him alive? And he’s hiding how smart he is omg is he a rebel secretly?

I have a feeling her mother will die - she has to do all kinds of things for the authority and keep it a secret - I can’t wait to finally learn more about their research and what’s really going on, I’m guessing people are rising up? Ky is so bloody cute, and he’s slowly opening up yay. She’s also realizing what she’s feeling yay, although I still feel bad for Xander - he’s barely here and he’s quite the good guy honestly. Can’t believe her mother told the truth & thus those ‘rebels’ will probably be killed. They took him omg didn’t expect that. And the red tablet is to forget everything! I love that she gave Ky the piece of her dress omg & he gave her the artefact. I wonder what happened with the other artifacts though. They’re being relocated to the Akkers :0 did the pill not work on her mother? I wonder whether Ky’s adoptive parents were just killed instead of relocated idk. And also, why would they want quick workers to be in the army? That makes no sense? In regards to her sorting? Her authority woman is kinda like snow from the hunger games idk, she’s so random. Damn they don’t know who put Ky into the matching pool - that’s interesting! I hate how little answers we’ve gotten so far lol.

Xander and Ky don’t respond to those tablets omg. Damn I hate how open that ending is, we still don’t know anything. She’s now working at a camp/the akkers and Xander told her they had to take those red tablets before but won’t tell her why, which means she must be susceptible to them bc she can’t remember.
