Studying GSCE? How do you find it?

Hi all I'm writing a YA novel set in the UK. My character's studying Textiles for GCSE Level 2.

I've got some questions which I'd really appreciate feedback on:

My character loves fashion. She wants to work as a fashion buyer or an event manager for designers when she leaves school. What other subjects would you suggest she does?

And, if any of you are actually doing Textiles, I'd love your thoughts and feedback on how you find the subject.

I'm studying IGCSE, which is slightly higher than gcse, and next year I'm doing those exams. If she wants to be a designer, event manager, I'd suggest the commerce subjects
Economics
Business studies
Accounting
And I'd also suggest art, for the color coordination stuff etc.
