Beginning Friday 1st September at Toronto Library 6-8pm through to Saturday 9th September. Sessions are to be held at both Toronto and Belmont Libraries with various author events over the days.

Monday 4th Sept The Facts in Fiction: Four historical
fiction writers in conversation with
Jaye Ford

These authors are: Isolde Martyn (recent release Troubadour)
Pamela Hart (recent release A Letter from Italy)
Amanda Hampson (recent release The French Perfumer)
Felicity Pulman (children's historical fiction)

Saturday 9th September - Meg Keneally in conversation

Belmont Library 10.30-11.30am

Meg Keneally discusses writing The Monsarrat series with Thomas Keneally, and placing a fictional crime story within historical place and times.

Followed at 12.30-1.15pm The Girl from Munich: A story of loss, betrayal, duty and love

Tania Blanchard discusses the challenges she faced researching her hidden family history. Tania often heard stories of her grandmother’s experiences during the war years in occupied Germany. However, after her grandmother passed away, Tania discovered documents, letters and photos of her life in Germany, that uncovered secrets that had been kept from her family. The Girl from Munich is Tania’s grandmother’s story.

At 3.30-4.15pm Judy Nunn and Bruce Venables in conversation with Jaye Ford

Judy Nunn and Bruce Venables discuss with Jaye Ford the research required to ensure the accuracy of historical places and events in their writing. Bruce’s new novel Eureka Run is a thrilling historical adventure set against the backdrop of the Eureka Stockade. Judy Nunn’s new novel, Sanctuary, will be released in October 2017.
