I don't know why exactly but this book goes slow though I really love it. All the Greek mythology part is so good! And the camp/training part gives some strong Harry Potter vibes.

Finished chapter 10
Last time I read this series I stopped after book 3 so I would like to finally finish it. My feelings about this book are mostly the same as last time I read it but I like Percy more. (view spoiler)[ A lot is happening and really fast! I loved Greek mythology as a kid so I knew some of these stories but some of them were new to me (I read this almost 10 years ago so I don't remeber that much of it) which is nice. I already like Percy and Grover's friendship and Annabeth is growing on me.

(view spoiler)[I read this years ago, but really don't remember much about it. I'm not really understanding how being in the dark protected Percy? Names have power, but it was okay for him to learn about the gods while he didn't know who he was? Wouldn't he have said their names? I did remember Poseidon being his father, so that wasn't a surprise, but I did forget about how Percy got to the camp and his mother dying/disappearing. I really hope she can be rescued. I'm also curious which friend will betray him and what he'll fail to save. (hide spoiler)]

For me having “due dates” might help since I tend to be a procrastinator and Im in school too. But whatever is better for everyone
