I read this book a long while ago and can't remember the title nor the author. The story was about a woman who was the lover of a Russian Tsar. The woman was a famous actress of her time and was married to an Israeli soldier. Chaos in Russia caused them to flee and the woman escaped to Paris I think. She later had a daughter but she died when her daughter was young. The daughter was brought up by her nanny in America.
The daughter then became a famous actress like her mother and she married an equally famous American film director. They were married for about 7 years. The husband died and the daughter decided to move to Israel to look for her father. She then settled in Israel and married an Israeli.
