J.R. Erickson | 2 comments Hi there. I have a completed Chic Lit manuscript that is approx. 71,000 words that I would love to do a beta-swap for. I am also a published author of a fantasy series called Ula: Born of Shadows (only book I is published and Book II is awaiting edits with the publisher) and working on several other projects, which include paranormal and literary fiction. I especially like to read literary fiction, fantasy, paranormal, thriller, mystery - though I am open to most genres. I'd love for this to be an ongoing critique swap if possible. I'm not looking for grammatical editing, just an overall perception of the piece along with comments on what does and does not work. Thanks

Hi Jacki,

I have an 84,000-word mystery. It's a little darker than cozy, but the protagonist is an amateur female detective who is also a tarot card reader and it's set in a small town in Colorado. I have romance experience -- four single-title romances published with two different publishers. Also, my first mystery is currently with an agent. I've just finished my fourth round of edits to this current book, and I'd love to have someone read and provide feedback. I'd be pleased to do the same for you. If you are interested, you can email me at manningillinois (at) gmail (dot) com.
