Ingar No I don't think you should read them. I think you should listen to them. They are absolutely wonderful as audiobooks!

Or read them if you must. But you should definitely consume them.

Alan Hell Yes, Pratchett is a comedy genius. His books inhabit a very interesting world at once strange and different and yet very similar to our own. I am very anal so I would always start at the beginning and read the books in order. But that's just me. I even read his more junior focused books like Truckers and really enjoyed them. But the Discworld is exceptional. But of course as with Music, people feelings about books are very personal.

Phillip Pratchett`s books give the reader the same rollicking and sunny (for Wodehouse) humor as Adams and Wodehouse. I love Douglas Adams` work so much that reading Wodehouse became an acceptable substitute for me. Alas, Wodehouse has been dead since the early 1970s. Though he wrote nearly 100 books eventually you run out of them and there are never new ones. Pritchett has the same humor, similar feel, great wordplay of the other two authors. So, yes, I would recommend Pratchett. I wish I had discovered him when I was 23. I would have loved it. I also recommend P.G. Wodehouse, especially the Jeeves and Wooster books or the ones about Blandings Castle. Good reading to you.
