I wonder why it feels so personal. Why it hurts so much when I think that Morph might never get his chance with Alyssa. It's almost like I can feel his pain. I will lie if I say I'm okay with any choice Alyssa makes. 'Cause I'm not. I will never be okay with Jeb. Never ever. I don't even know if I want to read Ensnared if that is the case.

You know Jen's Jeb's sister, right?.... And I think that if Morpheus doesn't end up with Alyssa, he should be with the White Queen, since it seems like they used to have something once.
Seriously, I'm pairing Jeb with incest if it keeps him away from Alyssa. His family's already screwed up, and there are enough issues with Wonderland I think it won't matter anymore. And it gives everyone more reasons to dislike him, so everybody wins :)

Morpheus will lie to ensure his plans, and does a lot, but Job is usually pretty honest with her.

That's kinda cruel for you to say about him. I mean, I know you don't like Job, but just because someone's got a screwed up family doesn't mean they can't rise above it and do better for themselves.

Seriously? Just because your family is a mess doesnt mean you are too! If I judged people I knew IRL because of someone in their family, Id have less friends. Better yet, dont judge at all!
I agree my family is slightly crazy but that doesn't mean they aren't awesome or that I don't love them. Cos I do... I do agree however that Morpheus and Alyssa should totally hook up!!They're just a super cute couple y'know?? LOL totally fangirling about Morpheus now...

He's been trying to rise up out of the mess that is his family, but I think he's stopped working so much and trying harder to protect Alyssa- which can be a good thing, but he still forgets himself sometimes.

Why should Taelor be the one to stop it? Anyway, Taelor and Jeb can both end up with whomever in my opinion, so long as said person isn't Morpheus or Alyssa.

Howard has this incredible quality in her writing (which she should post here more often ;) ) that everything comes from seemingly nowhere and yet makes so much sense. I dont think Jeb or Morpheus's age difference from Alyssa should make a difference. I know there are "Twilight' fans here - and yes, I am unashamedly a fan!. Edward was 109 to Bella's 18 when she was turned. Noone complained about age difference there. And do you also know that Greek Gods (Im reading a lot of mythology fiction right now when I can find it), often dated the children of their brothers and sisters? Even though they didnt share an actual parent, Greek Gods and Goddesses often had the same maker. So somewhere along that winding tree, they were all related. Just a little FYI there

Alright, not getting into this on a Splintered thread :S
I don't know why people have hangups on age differences at all in fantasy books. Once again - this is FANTASY! If you want normal ages, normal lives, normal boyfriends - why are you reading about vampires and fairies in the first place? Isn't it weird - how people are ready to suspend their disbelief enough to read about supernatural stuff, but they get disturbed by such a thing as age gap?

Going back to the "Jeb can be with Jen, Morpheus can be with Alyssa" thing from before.

There are many factors, but my family alone came here three years ago for my father's job at Microsoft, and we want to move back to California next summer.

Well, A.G. Howard said that she herself is Alyssa and Jeb is her husband. (like you know she used herself and her husband for inspiration) I don't see her dumping her "husband".
No, she won't end up with Jeb. The more I read both books, especially Unhinged, and also what A.G. said in her interview about the ending that feels "authentic", the more I realize it is going to be Alyssa and Morpheus. Doesn't matter that Jeb is on the cover. Turn on your logic, guys. Unhinged was all about Alyssa's and Morpheus's relationship turning into something bigger. I think we are so used to insta-love in YA books that when the girl doesn't fall in love with the new guy irrevocably on page 3, we start thinking he is the second lead and has no chances. But pay attention. The clues are everywhere. Whenever I stop panicking about the cover and other books/series that broke my heart this year and the fact that Jeb reminds A.G. of her husband, I start to SEE the story clearly, and Alyssa/Morpheus pairing is the one that feels true and in line with the plot and the story.
Seriously, guys, let's discuss the reasons. What reasons do you have to think it might be Jeb and what reasons do you have to think it might be Morpheus? With proof/text from the story to back up your words, if necessary. Because most of my fears that Alyssa might choose Jeb (since I'm a hardcore Morpheus fan) don't have anything to do with the story. They have to do with my previous reading experiences and other series and authors. I'm just scared shitless, plain and simple. But once I let go of that fear and try to be reasonable, I see a whole different picture.

Okay. I have to warn you guys that I am THE WORDMILL so be prepared for a wall of text. And also, beware SPOILERS!!!I, personally think Morpheus will end with Alyssa.
1. I freaked out when I read that the inspiration for Jeb came from her husband. BUT if she wanted her heroine to be in love with Jeb forever, then why create Morpheus in the first place? She could've written aboout Alyssa's struggles in Wonderland, her problems with her family and so on. But she didn't, right? Soooo, her "deep love" may be not so deep after all!
2. She's childhood friend with both of them. BUT Morpheus had to leave her when she was five. She and Jeb never parted. That is whole 11 years. For 11 years they have become like brother and sister. I don't think Alyssa understands it yet, that she values Jeb on many levels, but not like a lover. Because otherwise, she wouldn't have any problems with spending the night with him, right?
3. Morpheus showed because Alyssa CALLED FOR HIM! That means something, right? Plus, when she saw him in the mirror what happened next? A lot of touching!
4. She falls asleep in Jeb's embrace thinking of Morpheus. And she does that a lot in the books. It is known, that dreams are the things that the heart most desires. When you dream of something you unconsciously want it to happen! Plus when in book 2 she sees Mopheus in the Wonderland vision there's water everywhere. Water...you know what I mean?
5. Everytime Morpheus flirts with her she resists the urge to smile.
6. When they kiss she thinks she's doing it to save Jeb. Can I quote Jenara here:
"Do it all you want, queen of denial!"
7. No matter how many times she says she hates Morpheus, she's always worried about him.
8. She goes crazy jealous about Morpheus and Ivory. Why is that, sweetie?
