I read an excerpt last week, Janga, and am anxiously awaiting release day!
I just started Jo Goodman's A Touch of Frost.

I spent the weekend in a Suzanne Brockmann fever dream reading Into the Fire and Dark of Night which were great reads but exhausting. Between the two there were multiple shootings, near misses, explosions, escapes by helicopter, kidnappings... By the time I was finished I was worn out.
Of course that didn't stop me from starting the next one Hot Pursuit. And I was going to take a break and read someone else, but darned if Suze didn't leave a romance thread unresolved so now I can't. #addicted

I'm currently reading Wasted Words and enjoying it.

Wow, Stacey, I just read the blurb for this plus your review and it sounds like it's right up my alley. I have never heard of this author! As long as it has a HEA, I'm in.
Manda, LOL! Now I know why I stopped reading that series. Hahaha. That sounds exhausting! It's so fun when you're on a glom that's working though, isn't it?! I'm jealous!
Susan, I'm jealous, also! I can't wait for my next Balogh. This one looks to be amazing, too!
Thank you, Deb!
Hope some of y'all were lucky enough to see a total eclipse. No cloud cover out on the West Coast, so we had a clear veiw of a partial eclipse.
This week I'm starting off with Rule Breaker by Lily Morton.

Irish, it is so good! I started smiling on page one and by page six, I was laughing out loud. I love the characters--major and minor--and the literary allusions, which are always a joy for me in EJ's books. And the butler's name is Prism! That's almost as good as Prufrock. LOL
Stacey, I made a note about Ghosted after reading your review too. It sounds like my kind of contemporary.

Susan, I think Someone to Wed is wonderful. Balogh just keeps amazing me with the quality of her work.

It's definitely HEA...but it's one heck of a bumpy ride. I always get so excited when I find a new author to love. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :-)

It was such a pleasant surprise and kept my attention from start to finish. If you do get a chance to read it, ENJOY!!

It is not showing up on Amazon US yet. I'll keep checking.

I am now reading the final book of The Dressmakers series by Loretta Chase, Dukes Prefer Blondes. This has been a fun series to read.
When I don't have time to stop and read I am listening to book 7 in the Stephanie Plum series; I am catching up on a couple in this series I missed.
I too have been reading Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series; I am however on hold for the next book at the library. My last one read was Jules story, All Through the Night. I thought this one to be written from a little different perspective and I loved it.

Good to hear. I was just considering adding it to my collection.

Oh fun, Nicole! I was thinking about just how far romance has come since Brockmann introduced Jules as a main character in her books. It was a big deal for an author of her stature to write an openly gay character and to let him have love scenes and an HEA.
There's an article on Heroes and Heartbreakers that ranks the Troubleshooters series from April (of course I think the ranking is ALL WRONG!) that's fun if you want to check it out.
Now I'm finished for all intents and purposes, I'm having a little Brockmann withdrawal. :(

Thanks Manda! That is an interesting read and good review of the books. I couldn't start to rank them without rereading, but I also disagree with the rankings as listed. I too know the withdrawal feeling!!!

I spoke too soon. I forgot I skipped the first three so I could start my reread journey with one I read first originally (Kenny & Savannah). So I have more! Hooray! (I may have a problem.)

LOL, what a great feeling! I often joke with my kids about me needing a reader's addict group!

Book depository here I come!

I just started this one. I loved the scene near the beginning where she says that when she murders someone, she will do it in a ladylike fashion and will never get caught!

I know! She has had me laughing a few times. I already love the chemistry between Lady Clara and Raven.

I pre-ordered it. My hope is that it will be fixed way before that and it will get filled earlier. Fingers crossed.
I don't like reading books anymore, much prefer reading on my Kindle. I do at least an hour of reading before my family wakes up, so I need the backlit screen.

I don't know if I can wait that long to read it!

I don't want to...but I will. ;-)

lol ok! If you can do it I can do it! Although have you noticed it is missing from Amazon again today?? lol

Are you kidding me? Tessa Dare must be freaking out. Did you see the pre-order the price? It seemed awfully low, I'm kind of hoping that it's correct and we get the lower price. I haven't paid under $6.00 for a historical romance in ages. ;-)
