Please post here any challenges you'd like to share with everyone.
Suggestions:
- Read [insert number] books in a day/this week
- Read [insert number] pages in a day/this week
- 24 hour read-a-thon
- Start the book you've had on your shelf for years
- Start the book that everyone and their mother has read
- Silly challenges, like only reading books with blue covers
- Find someone reading the same book as you and see if they want to partner up for a buddy read

I'm curious to see what sort of challenges or goals everyone wants to set for themselves.

MaryJane (mj_reads) | 6 comments Some general challenges I'm going to aim for the week:

- Finish at least one book a day
- Read at least one library book
- Read a book I've owned for over a year
- Read a book I bought recently (can't ignore my book mail lmao)

I'll probably come up with something more specific for each day that will hopefully help with these four general challenges but I guess we will see what happens!

I like that we are all doing individual challenges, as a mood reader I think this will keep me more on track unlike other predetermined read-a-thon categories that I usually give up on lmao

Hailee | 16 comments I'm challenging myself to finish the two books I'm currently reading.

This will be a challenge because despite enjoying Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series I can't seem to read them very fast.

So I want to read:

60 pages per day of The Great Hunt (The Wheel of Time, #2) by Robert Jordan

50 pages per day of Touch by Claire North

These are great challenges!
I think I'm going to attempt to read as much as possible in 24 hours. We'll see how this works out. That'll be my main goal today. I've got physical books to read as well as an audiobook. 😁

Dave McMahon | 1 comments I like the 24 hour read-a-thon idea :) And especially as The Wise Man's Fear is 900+ pages, I feel I could put a massive dent in it over a 24 hour period :)

Challenge accepted :)

@Jenn
I've always wanted to really participate in a read-a-thon, but I've never been able to because of responsibilities. This week I have no school and little work, so I figured I'd throw my own.
I got to thinking it'd be much more fun with others and a group seemed like the best option to make that happen. :) Thanks for joining!
