Only 50?
:)
Only 50?
:)

I haven't much time to read now, though I do have 3 on the go, two horror/thrillers and a business self help book.

I'm still adding the books I read years ago too! There must be lots of them that I have forgotten over the years.

Me too, I was doing really well, but got quite a few this month!

Freebies are too tempting! I have lots of samples on my kindle too, and I really want to find the time to read them all so I can buy those I like the best.

The good thing about freebies is nothing to loose - if they are really bad, you can delete them, but if they are good ( I have discovered some new authors this way) you have made a discovery

So true. I have signed up for the Free Booksy emails, and it's really easy to click through to get the books.

Definitely agree

But it is terrible.

I don't tend to grab random freebies, as several people have said they do. I get various book offer emails - bookbub, that kind of thing - but only tend to get things that I actually want, an author I know or have been recommended, or something that really jumps out and grabs me. It's not like I'm lacking choice.

And, as addictions go, I've always thought it one of the best :)
I'm embarrassed to say how many unread books I have, but it would make you all look like amateurs. I'm not even counting the Kindle books.

And it is definitely an addiction.

And I don't use a Kindle or those e-book thingees... :)

Indeed.

Ha! You be the Queen.

Yes, if only all life's little problems were as enjoyable as having too many books to read. 😁😂😄😅😆

And far, far better than the opposite problem

Exactly!😉

Definitely nothing to be ashamed of

Why ashamed? I think it's great to have so much choice, although I sometimes feel guilty I haven't given some of my older books a chance, could be a new favourite author waiting to be discovered

AMEN to that!!!

I do, and I've reread some of the books I've already read. If they're not worth keeping, I agree with you.

One of my challenges this year was to read some of the books I've had longest on my TBR bookshelf. I'm thinking of taking the 16 books longest on my shelf for my 12 + 4 challenge next year... :)

If they are well-loved I keep them, or reference or books I want to share. I always keep books in the guest room, and if I know the person very well & have a heads-up, I move books into the room that I think they may like or need to read!

Very good point!

Read through my reviews and you'll find that I have certain books I re-re-reread. Those are my keepers (and not many, these). But mostly my shelves are books waiting their turn. Plus I keep our local library in business. And I download enough from Gutenberg that I could be a substation.
There was a time people, visiting us, thought they'd walked into a library. Many books we read once and knew we wouldn't read again yet kept them on our shelves.
Now we have a fine line for keepers v give-away books. There are several charities in our areas that sell books and use the money for good purpose. We're well known to them.

So,how many do you have,Nancy ?
