Finished the book for SL and I'm wondering why I waited so long to continue this series. I liked the locked room-type mystery in this one, it was a nice change of pace. Sleeping Lady (Jessie Arnold & Alex Jensen #3), by Sue Henry, finished 3/9 ★★★★
If I'd posted in a more timely manner, I could have taken BU -- the last two books I read both would have fit!

In re-reading my comment, I realized that I got two recently finished books mixed up. Sleeping Lady was good, and I need to get on with the rest of the series, but the locked room thing was in the Anna Pigeon book I just read, Firestorm. Not sure if that makes a difference in your adding it to your list, but figured I'd better clarify :)
It will probably be awhile before I get to it, but I've been wanting to read The Darling Dahlias and the Cucumber Tree for awhile, so I'll take the TR and bump the book higher up my list :) New pairs : BU and ST

And I finished my TR book from message #507. My F2F book group read one of the latest books in the series not too long ago, which I enjoyed, so I expected to like this book (the first in the series) -- and I did :) I really wish, though, that the book group members wouldn't keep choosing books in the middle of a series. I'll take the ST with The Secret Staircase. I've had the ARC for quite awhile now and the pub date is coming up soon, so I'd better get cracking. I'm eager to read it because I enjoy the series, but have been putting it off because I know it's the last in the series and probably wasn't written as the last.

I'd been looking forward to this spinoff series and was somewhat disappointed because the main characters were frustratingly determined to wallow in their unhappiness. But I definitely plan to continue with the series. I like this author and usually enjoy her books. You can't always have a winner, I guess.

Finished my book for SE (or was it ST? oops!). It was as good as I'd expected it to be, and am sad that there won't be any more books in the series.
