James Hartley | 71 comments Just wondering - aside from books, what other reading material do you guys read on a regular basis? Anyone subscribe to any print magazines (apart from emailed newsletters)? Or newspapers?

I read Mojo (a UK-based music magazine, rock n roll - or "dad rock" if you´re being mean), Private Eye (a UK satirical magazine), Viz (a UK-based scurrilous cartoon and naughty jokes magazine).

What about you guys?

James

Country Living is a great magazine! I also used to enjoy 'Period Living and Traditional Homes' but it has been split into two separate magazines now.

Simone Martel | 12 comments I read my mother in law's copies of The Nation, The New York Review of Books, Harper's and The Atlantic. (You can tell she's an old leftie.) I read my parents' copies of Sunset, Afar, National Geographic Traveler, and Lonely Planet (they're big travelers). I personally subscribe to Saveur, Bon Appetite, Food and Wine and Poets and Writers. I stopped reading my mom's copies of Martha Stewart Living several years ago because that magazine infuriated me! Same with Vanity Fair. I'm happier without it.

Yzabel Ginsberg (yzabelginsberg) | 262 comments BBC History—well, sort of. I'm considering unsubscribing because I have a backlog of 2+ years, and can't read them in time because, well, too manhy actual books to read. (Or maybe I'll switch to digital-only: easier to read in public transportation + no more piling up on paper at home.)

Lance Charnes (lcharnes) | 327 comments Smithsonian, Time, The Economist, Military History Quarterly, Wreck Diving, American History, and some others.

I used to get BBC History, but it seemed like every issue was about either the Tudors or Hitler (or both), so I finally gave up on it.

Creative Nonfiction can be pretty good.

Mohsen Karezani | 1 comments Hello guys.
it's a long time that I don't read any "Actual print magazines", instead reading online magazine is the best choice

https://www.health.com/

W. Andrews | 3 comments New Yorker. It has everything. Long form nonfiction articles, head scratch cartoons, a caption contest, pop culture reviews, book reviews, and a weekly humor 1-page kvetch that somehow manages to be entertaining occasionally without being humorous.

Sherri Moorer (sherrithewriter) | 172 comments The only magazine I read is Writer's Digest.
