Tessa | 1761 comments Old lady - The Lady Tyrell who admitted to slipping the poison into Joffrey's chalice. (We already knew that from right after the death, The Lady Tyrell and Littlefinger nodded to each other. Both were in on it.)

Oh I totally got that but is that the old woman you guys were referring to or is it (view spoiler)

Gotcha, ignore my earlier question/spoiler....

I totally don't trust Littlefinger...he is one slimy mofo!

message 6: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 16, 2017 09:53AM) (new)

No, do not trust Littlefinger. Though the actor plays him so well.

I still remeber reading the first book, the first season, and at the end they actually cut off his head!! Then i was like, ok no one is safe.
I think i remember when the first season happened that no one spoiled and so then viewers where all WTF?? Especially because they had cast a name for Ned, lol.

It was really hard for me to want to watch the red wedding ep knowing what was coming.

message 7: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments I watched the Red Wedding NOT knowing what was coming and I couldn't even speak....I was like WTF DUDE SERIOUSLY WTF....REWIND REWIND THAT DID NOT HAPPEN, HOW COULD IT I MEAN NO NO NONONONONONON WAY! WHY ARE ANY LANISTERS GETTING DEAD?

message 8: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments I'm so curious what he plans for Sansa? Is he secretly in love with her and wants to turn her or does he just want to rip the house a part???

message 9: by Tessa (new) - added it

Tessa | 1761 comments I think he is obsessed with Sansa. He wants her, but he wants power more. If you discredit Jon, which he is obviously doing, and marry Sansa, you become the King of the North.

I think the big problem with Arya is she's not dumb. Arya is a real threat and she gave too much away when she said No One trained her. I think he realizes she saw through him right away and is trying to eliminate a real threat.

Paula White | 800 comments I have nothing to add to this thread as I don't watch it *runs away and hides*

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

I think he transferred his obsession from Catelyn to Sansa. Also, probably any grudge he held against her family and Ned. In his eyes it would be a way of finally winning over them. Agree though that power comes first.
And games which might be his downfall. He thinks he is smarter than everyone and likes to play the puppet master.
I am curious as to when Sansa and Tyrion meet up again.

message 12: by Tessa (new) - added it

Tessa | 1761 comments One thought. There might be extra hatred from Littlefinger towards Jon and Arya because, in the books, they are the only two who favor the Starks. The rest of the children favored their mother in looks and coloring.

message 13: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments As I'm listening to book 1 I'm getting that Tessa, with the looks....

message 14: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments Aren't Sansa and Tyrion technically still married? She's a Bolton widow but she was married before that freak show sold her out to that other freak fucktard.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, the physical traits of each family is a bit clearer in the books.
I think they are, except is Tyrion a widow or is his first wife still out there?
So in the books it is a bit different in that it wasnt Sansa that ended up in Bolton's clutches but mistaken identity of her friend.

message 16: by Tessa (new) - added it

Tessa | 1761 comments Rule of the land: If the wedding isn't consummated, it never happened. Still I hope Sansa and Tyrion see each other again too. I think Tyrion really taught Sansa a lot about human kindness and seeing the person beyond the looks. Joffrey started that, but Tyrion's pure kindness and gentleman-like personality really cemented it.

message 17: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments No sexy times or forced sex = no hubby! That's what I liked in the book better, Dany's first experience with Drogo, he was so sweet from the beginning not like in the show.

You're right! She did learn a lot from him and I hate finger manipulating her!

message 18: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments SOMEONE HOLD ME! I READ THE SPOILER FOR EPISODE 6!

I'm wondering if she's actually being manipulated. All that she went through and survived makes me think that she's using him more than her. She is not stupid, nor at this point naive. She's been through so much political backstabbing and has in fact been betrayed by Littlefinger himself. I think the irony is going to be that, the lady that was a little naive pawn will end up being the most politically savvy of them all, probably saving them all.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I definitely want Sansa, all the Starks, to rise to the top. Almost like Tyrion she has had to learn to play the game to stay alive. She didnt have the might.

Good points on the spoiler Tessa.

Ela | 4291 comments Everybody dies and Theon takes the throne with the bald guy by his side.

I haven't watched the episode from 2 days ago yet, but I'm all caught up besides that. OMG guys!!! this show!!! I want a dragon. And a Jon Snow... Humina Humina!

I was sooo excited that rowboat kid is back. I kept asking my hubby where he was and he was like, give it up he's dead. but then poof after 2.5 seasons he's back!

so... [spoiler] Jon is a Stark...but by Ned's sister, and a Barathian and thereby the true king, right?[/spoiler]

I love Arya. I despise Little Finger. I could totally get behind a Jamie and Brianne pairing...

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Wait ....a Barathian??? Um, no......

message 26: by Tessa (new) - added it

Tessa | 1761 comments Nope. Jon is a Targerryan. His father is Danny's older brother and his mother is Ned's sister. Raegar got an annulment from his wife (revealed 3 episodes ago when Golly was reading that boring book about some Master's life). Thus he is the true king ahead of Dany.

message 27: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
ohhh, see I thought that Robert was really Jon's father. Shit!

message 28: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
have you guys read the books? I was debating on it...but I'm actually really enjoying the show so I don't want to spoil myself, you know?

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, and I love them. The show is now futher along than the books. We have been waiting for Martin to release the next book for around 6/7 years. I am a bit grumpy to be so loyal to the books and now to have the story first finish in the show formant.

message 30: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
OMG! I just got to open the spoilers, because I was on my phone before. HFS! I didn't even remotely think about the red witch being the same one who told Cersei that she would only have 3 kids. I told my hubby that she was not going to have another baby though...

I need more dragons.
I mainlined this series so fast, I hardly ever watch TV... so to watch so much in such a short amount of time, was nuts for me.

Outlander anyone??

message 31: by Tessa (new) - added it

Tessa | 1761 comments A king/queen dies each season. So... Any idea if Cersei will live past next week?

message 32: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
well, we have Jon, Cersei, Dany... the night king???

message 33: by Tessa (new) - added it

Tessa | 1761 comments lol I'm voting on Cersei.

message 34: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments I'm rewatching the show and reading the books...obsessed much?

message 35: by Ela (last edited Aug 24, 2017 05:25AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments I want Gendar to end up with Arya!

message 36: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
Is that what I've coined "Rowboat kid"'s name is? Gendar? Ok... yeah, they were cute back when they were younger. I'm almost sorry Ramsey is dead... I would have liked to have seen Arya gut him...painfully!

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Ela, how do you like the books?

message 38: by Tessa (new) - added it

Tessa | 1761 comments What if Gendar becomes king in the end... That'd be a twist.

message 39: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments Yup, he's the 'rowboat ' kid...lol!

The books are awesomeness! I can picture the characters!

message 40: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments Tessa wrote: "What if Gendar becomes king in the end... That'd be a twist."

I was thinking the same and Khaleesi his bride? I don't like this pairing but hey who knows!

message 41: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments I hate how cocky Khaleesi is getting, I know I know she needs to be a tough cookie but just but

message 42: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
I totally would have backed a Jon/Dani pairing... until you guys opened my eyes on who his real daddy is... dammit!

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Some are shipping Sansa and Jon.

message 44: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments Shipping?

message 45: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments Don't care who Jon's daddy is, I'm still for Khaleesi/Jon dragon babies!

message 46: by Tessa (new) - added it

Tessa | 1761 comments bev wrote: "Some are shipping Sansa and Jon."
I know, but again, they are cousins. Must they ship people related to each other?

message 47: by Ela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ela | 4291 comments Why is anyone shipping anyone?

message 48: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
Shipping... otherwise known as ... being in support of the pairing.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol, well royalty marrying cousins is fairly common. But to modern American standards it is a bit....😮

message 50: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 24, 2017 08:20AM) (new)

Plus, they thought they were siblings. He is definitely not a romance writer so not counting on strong HEA, but i do kinda ship Sansa/Tyrion & Jaime/Brienne.
I am not checking name spellings, lol.
