Derek had his arm around some girl, "Where you going man? The party's just starting."
Tara reached for a beer on a nearby table.

Connor shook his head, "we really should be going," he looked down at her and frowned, "don't," he hissed at her.
"but Connie." she just want one little sip.
"C'mon dude. Stay just a little longer." Derek said, "Even the lady wants to."

Connor sighed frustratedly, not taking his eyes off Tara, "do you want to stay?" He couldn't make her leave if she didn't want to.
She wanted to but he looked mad. Her Connie shouldnt be mad. "No." she pushed his cheeks up into a smile.
He nodded, "let's get you home," he waved at Derek and dragged Tara out. He was silent the hole walk, emotions swirling in his chest.
When they got back to the rebellion he sighed, feeling at ease. He slowed down his pace, "I'm sorry.."

Connor watched her go then sighed. He leaned against the wall and slid down it. How was he going to explain the purple hair to his mom?
Lee sighed and went back inside. He came back with a bucket of ice water and dumped it on Connor.
Connor fallowed him in, confused, "I'm sorry.. I can go home.." He didn't want Lee going out of his way to be nice.
He nodded, holding back the urge to roll his eyes. He scooped up Tara and carried her to her room. He lied her down and tucked her in before going back to Lee.
Lee nodded and sent a text to his dad. "What to explain why you and my granddaughter came back here drunk?"
"Not really," he said honestly, "we decided to go out for a drink, then ran into her ex and left.."
He turned to look his dad over. He wanted to snap at him and say that it was to little to late, "then you shouldn't make fun of my hair."
"Nothing. I was just asking why did you pick it." He rolled his eyes, "You should be more worried about what your mother will say."
Tara climbed out her window when Connor texted her he was there. She hopped down and went over to him, for once her hair wasn't dyed. Just her natural black.
Connor smiled and hugged her when she came up to him. He kissed her cheek, "your hair looks best like this."
Tara blushed and nodded, "Just like you said to. Are you going to tell me where were going now?"
He shook his head, "nope." He took her hand and led the way, "you'll figure it out when we get there." He had booked a room at the hotel. He got one with two beds. And he bought them both a swimming suit. He was pretty good at figuring out girl sizes for cloths, but he was worried she might not like it. The hotel had a pool, he hoped she liked swimming.
((aww that's sweet))
Tara followed him, "hey, I-i'm sorry about last night." Most of it was a blur but she remembered bits and pieces of it.
