Is reading forever or some quit?

Sadly, my own observations tell that many once avid readers quit reading altogether, especially - males.
What are yours?

My female neighbor and I used to talk about books, but since she got Netflix, she's no longer reading.

I binge watch netflix or Amazon. But, I still read. I binge read books too. My daughter does both also. I think it depends on personality. I think readers will continue to read and it is just a matter of interest. Some days I wonder where to find the next series or author to interest me.
