I'm connecting some dots. Jason isn't the son of Zeus but Jupiter, would that mean he's a roman demigod, not a Greek one? What if there's a huge difference in that and there are more demigods like that
(and that would explain that the prophecy in Percy Jackson series didn't apply to him because it was a Greek prophecy, not a Roman one)

Chapter 13 - 18
(view spoiler)[ Big a child of the big three seem to kinda suck. I mean, Poseidon is okay, and Hades is, on paper, not the worst. But then there is douchebag Zeus en yeah, poor Jason. But it's cool he figured that Thalia is his sister.

I really want to throttle Drew, but that's mostly the way she's written. I'm still waiting for the Aphrodite cabin to have the rep they deserve (I mean, there are some good characters).

Chapter 19 - 24
(view spoiler)[ Poor Jason and his struggle with his memories. And spending most of his time being knocked out.

Piper is being quite a badass. Like, I'm still not in love with her romance with Jason (which is bound to happen), but looking past that, she does quite a lot in this book and I'm surprised (and happy that I reread it, without comparing it to the original series).

And Leo saves the day, finally! I feel like he hadn't quite his hero moment, and their friendship is really precious and loveable. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I feel like the Medea fight lasted a little bit too long. It started to drag a bit, and the fight felt a little bit short. Leo's chapters were awesome (and kinda heart-wrenching). I want to hug him.

Well, more like one day I read nothing (or don't update), and than I spend the other day catching up and yeah, you have a much better consistency. (Honestly, the only reason I managed to catch up was that I was cleaning my room and listening to the audio).

(view spoiler)[ Yeah, I assume so. Percy is at least 16 in this book, and at the beginning of the book, Jason assumed he was around 15 and nobody thought he looked any younger than they were (Piper and Leo are 15, I'm pretty sure).

(After checking the fandom wiki--wouldn't recommend because it's filled with spoilers--it says Percy is older than Jason by a year or-so).

Doesn't explain the age-gap between Thalia and Jason, but on the other hand, they basically have different godly parents (Zeus and Jupiter) so maybe there is some time apart? (hide spoiler)]

Also, Leo meeting his father and him taking Festus later sure is nice. Also, every Percy Jackson reference makes me just finish this book immediately and read the next one

The scene with Midas and Lit was quite hilarious, like, that's the kind of monster fights I want to see.

I don't like the werewolves. Scary little shit.

The reunion between Jason and Thalia was so bittersweet. Like, I'm so happy they met again, but they are forced apart so soon and I feel bad for both of them.

And Leo figuring things out, yessss, I'm happy that he's showing his value. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 37 - 42 (view spoiler)[ Mellie is a gem and her interaction with coach Hedge is just, well, perfect. Especially since the kids' reaction is perfectly disturbed.

The fight, up until now, is pretty awesome. Like, Piper just stabbing an Earthborn, Leo using his machinery to, well, defeat them and the first line of the next chapter (Jason's) is rather promising. (hide spoiler)]

Honestly, this made me chuckle because I am pretty sure this returns in one of the books. But looking at my garbage preference in guys, Jason is more my type, but I would pick Percy 9/10 times (not taking into account the slightly creepy age difference), though neither is my favourite guy looks wise. (This feels kinda awkward discussing? On the other hand, I have had this discussion before with friends so...)

So my suspicions were correct. There was another camp. Anyhow, I rolled my eyes when Jason talked about Percy being in danger at camp Jupiter because they're more warlike. Bruh, Percy killed Kronos, bathed in river Styx and is invulnerable like Achilles was. There's no way he's gonna suck at that camp, even without memories.

(view spoiler)[ The fights were... okay. I didn't love them, however, I loved the characters and how far they have come.

I've come to appreciate coach Hedge way more, he is a very likeable (though sometimes annoying) character.

The two camps didn't come as a surprise, even if this hadn't been a reread the scene on the bridge between Leo and Thalia was very telling that there is something. Now I can't wait to see Percy again. Man, I missed him. (hide spoiler)]
