The Fairy Book Club discussion
Welcome to the Fairy Book Club!

Introductions!

A best book is always with a little bit of romance! ;)

I'm Mary, a former English teacher, current librarian, and very excited Book Fairy from North Carolina in the U. S. Books are most definitely my jam. You can typically find me reading YA, Mystery/Thrillers, or something required by my book club, but I will typically read almost anything that isn't romance :) I'm currently reading The Breakdown by B. A. Paris and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I look forward to chatting with you all! Feel free to follow my Book Fairy adventures of IG @lambertm99 and I'll follow you as well!

I love to read anything well written that will provide me with ample escapism. My passion is Fanstasy and this is the genre in which I write; although I'm ex-military (Sniper in the British army). My latest work is all about fairies as I believe, the darkest fairytales are those told by the fairies themselves.
Looking forward to bandying some words in this group, :o)

I do believe in fairies, I do, I do!
Welcome welcome. :) I just finished reading An Enchantment of Ravens and now am on a huge faerie and fairies kick. Have you read it? SO GOOD.

And I just "checked out" Dylap from Kindle Unlimited. :D Darn ever-growing TBR lists!!!

I am Andrea from California. I'm a student at a Community collage and majoring in Psych and English. Just newly changed major. Reading wasn't always fun for me but in High school I learned it was the perfect escape. I love reading thriller and fantasy, historical fiction and others.

I am Faye from the UK. I am an indie author with a newly released book and I have just joined the Good Reads community.
I have recently been using bookstagram via Instagram to get some recommendations for new books to read and have joined this group to get some more. I absolutely love reading and I can't wait to get my TBR pile increased after reading these discussion boards!

Hello, my name is Barb and I'm from the state of Michigan in the USA!

I am Vaishali from India.....I am an Advocate
I Love reading...........
I love romantic novels......fiction......classic literature......travel novels.......
Looking forward to new suggestions as well........
Happy Reading All of You......

I like Mysteries, Psychological Thrillers, Horror, Science-Fiction, Historical-Fiction, and Classics! I like reading for fun and in my free time. I'm from New York.
Hi again and Happy Reading!

As for what I like reading...well, I love almost anything by Ray Bradbury, I've read a lot of H.P. Lovecraft, I really like Edgar Allen Poe (but sometimes I find his work hard to get through), and I'm on my third Margaret Atwood book. Over the years I've read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi, but reading more folklore is on my to-do list. In the past couple of years, I've really gotten into short stories, because they are easier to finish in the brief moments where I actually have time to read. I am just as likely to pick up something old as I am to grab something new, and I can lose entire days if you leave me in a flea market or thrift store with lots of vintage books. Oh yes, and I absolutely adore Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.
As for where I'm from, well, here and there. Actually, I'm from The States, but I've never really fit well in the places I've lived. TV, books, and the internet have always allowed me to live beyond borders in one way or the other, not to mention I am a chronic daydreamer.
Anyway, I'm sure that was more than you were looking for, but I'm new to Goodreads, so I wanted to give a proper hello. And since it is so late here, let me also say: So long, farewell. Auf wiedersehen, goodnight. (No I'm not the biggest fan of musicals, but I have my moments.)

Oh Rowan your introduction really made me smile :)
Especially "I'm just hoping.. that from time to time, you'll discuss something I've already read"

Then I have done a great and good thing!
Many of us don't get enough practice at smiling. I should know, it took 240 shots to get the one in my profile photo. :p
This morning I looked into the The Book Fairies and I see you are doing great and good things as well. I am a believer in books, and this is wonderful. Thank You.

I live in Kansas City Missouri USA and I believe in book fairies :)
I read anything that I feel like reading at the moment.
I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter, Flavia de Luce and Buck from Call of the Wild just to name a few.

LOL. I'm kind of the same way, but my moments change frequently...Goodreads thinks I'm only currently reading two books right now, but I have at least eight half started in my Kindle. I'm a mess.

That's a fine mess to be Rowan. My whole life I have been a one book at a time reader and I rarely give up on a book. I know this says something about me but I don't really know what lol

So glad that I joined this group !

I am Rabea from Germany. I love to read non-fiction about self-development, environmentalism and philosophy as well as fiction, mostly english classics! :-)
Nice to be here!

This year I'm planning to track my reading on Goodreads and I'm going to try the Modern Mrs. Darcy reading challenge.
I'm looking forward to participating here too! <3

I love every genre that makes me fall in love, but mostly my reading are sci-fi and fantasy.
So, nice to know you all!

I prefer Sloworm. :) Glad I'm not the only one in the club!
Hallo all, I'm Andy, live in Whitburn, North East England.
Love "Grim/ Dark" books.
I blame Michael Moorcock for this :) Elric at an early age set me off on a path of Stephen Donaldson rather than Tolkien, Dune rather than Star Wars, Clive Barker rather than Stephen King. Lighter moments provided by Grant Naylor and Douglas Adams.
Looking forward to the book per month to broaden my reading habits.

Well, well, well, somebody just gave me some new authors to investigate. I love it. It is like the day I was in the library reaching for H.P. Lovecraft and the guy next to me asked, "Have you heard of Lord Dunsany?"

I' m Sweetly ( pen name - Sarah) from India. I am an entrepreneur by passion in Medical Field - UK based for the past 12 years and by profession I am a teacher. I am an avid reader of books.
I am basically here as a flashlight to help my best pal. Also I am here to learn a lot from all established authors and their esteemed works.
I do plan to eventually come out with a self-published book in Children's Literature in November of 2018 and an enchanting and thought-provoking script that has the potential to be made into a movie. I enjoy gardening and I am currently pursuing a new hobby knitting.
Looking forward for help and guidance.
:-)
