Sam Kate | 2 comments Hello, I'm Sam from Southern California, in the U.S.A. My mom and I often trade books through the mail, as she lives 3,000 miles away, on the East Coast, where I grew up. I'm partial to fiction, and still love to reread favourites from my youth ~ especially if my kids happen to be reading them. I'm currently reading Before We Were Yours.

Ashley (missmorris) | 1 comments Hello,
My name is Ashley and I live in North Dakota in the United States. I like to read psychological thrillers, crime novels, mysteries, historical fiction, memoirs, and Stephen King. I’m glad to be a part of this club. Because I rely on my public library and community book sales for my reading material, I may not always be able to keep up with discussions, but I am glad to have a new place to help me add to my reading list and to join in when possible!

Jas (jaskaur037) | 7 comments Hello fellow book fairies! I’m Jas and I’m a new fairy. Very excited to get my stickers! I just recently moved and I’m so thankful for online book clubs as I’m searching to find one that’s local.

I tend to post book reviews on my Instagram @jasbeingjas or on Pinterest (Jazz Kaur). I don’t have a blog as I typically enjoy media where I can discuss with others, rather than just write my own take.

Can’t wait to discuss this next book with you all!

I love books and i am currently waiting to hear back to be a book fairy in Dunedin as we don’t have any and we need to change that! I love all books, but I’m currently on a crime/thriller buzz so I’ve been reading that genre mostly! I’m so excited that there’s so many other book obsessed people in this wonderful world 💕

My name is Dawn and although I’m American born and bred, I live in Ottawa Ontario Canada with my amazing boyfriend and beautiful daughter! Books are my life. My love of reading started at a VERY young age and has only grown into an obsession. I hope to one day write my own book 📖 ❤️ For now I enjoy YA and Fantasy but I’m open to reading anything really from memoirs to Sci-fi. message 509: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Magill (shmagillagorilla) Hello all! My name is Samantha, and I'm from the US. Nowhere in particular, I'm a bit of a nomad and have been traveling consistently for the last couple years. I found this club through Instragram, searching for more like-minded people. Though I have gone on reading hiatuses before, I still absolutely adore reading. I'll read just about anything and my favorite way to discover a book is by recommendation with very little details. I find it's way more fun and intriguing to pick up a book without reading the inside cover! I'd love to connect with more people on here and see what everyone is reading :)

message 510: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Wofford | 1 comments Hello Everyone! I'm Jennifer and from Newton, NC, USA. I love all kinds of books from mystery to science fiction to romance to dystopia to paranormal fantasy...just depends on what strikes my fancy! I'm so excited to join in!!

I am really excited and happy to be part of this group.

Emmanuelle Nixon (faerienursery) | 2 comments Hi everyone,

My name is Emmanuelle and I live on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

I give credit to the book Bid Time Return by that I read when I was around the age of 12 (wow, that was 40 years ago) that introduced me to was reading really was. Sure, I could read but I had never become a character in a book before. I think we as bookworms can all remember that first read, that first connection and that first feeling of so-this-is-what-it-means-to-read book. I have reread this novel many times over the years and it is now safely tucked away, wrapped in velvet and placed in my will even. This book even traveled all the way to Lebanon and back where I had sent it to my best friend who had moved away for her to read (unfortunately it was mailed back, post marked ‘unable to deliver due to war’.

This love of books carried through to when I had my two kids and reading to them since birth. Not only did they both grow up to be readers themselves but they both married bookworms as well. Now being a Grandma of 5, each year for Christmas we gift my grandchildren with advent calendars but not of the chocolate variety. Each child gets to open one book for the 24 days leading up December 25th, yes, that’s 120 books but to me there is no greater gift I can give them then the love of reading.

My personal favourite author is Diana Gabaldon, favourite genre is historical romance and I collect any books faerie related.

I look forward to stepping out of my comfort zone and reading books that I probably would never have known existed. You’re never too young or too old to fall in love, have adventures, travel to exotic places, meet new characters and to feel the sense of accomplishment when you turn the last page of that last chapter.

Emmanuelle

Hello Bookfairies ! I’m a real fan of your international movement ! I live actually near Paris, in Saint-Leu-La-Forêt, I’m trying to “Save The World” my way, being an entrepreneur 🙈 I like to speak about anything, I read most of the time these last years books around political subject, biographies of politicians, historical etc But I really love every kind of book, from the book of which you are the hero, to the most annoying novel, to the scientific topic thesis books from steven hawking for example...
I never had the privilege to find a book yet, but may be one day, anyway I will continue to follow the lead on the gram !!

Esther Abraila | 1 comments Hello!!
I am Esther and I live in the Hebrides, Scotland, although originally I am from Spain.
I love reading but since I started the huge adventure of being mum, six years ago, my readings have been reduced.
I like to read in any of the languages I speak, and my favorite subjects are historic fiction and romantic comedy, but I read almostvany thing that falls in my hands and calls my attention.
I still haven’t found any book from book fairies but I love this.
Thank you for letting me be part of this lovely book club

message 528: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Manning-Eid | 2 comments Hi! I'm Victoria from London. I have found two books from a book fairy, and on both occasions it has made me so so happy and full of excitement! I love reading from a range of genres, and I generally have several books on the go at once!! I particularly love classic novels (I'm currently reading Dracula). It takes me longer to finish a book than I would like these days as I am a new mum and am exhausted most of the time, but I'm working on that!! It is lovely to be a part of this group :)

Hi Cordelia!! I'm so lucky to have found two!! I love books and on on each occasion it has literally made my week!!!

The first was 'Awakened' by James S Murray - a really fun read! (I found it on a bench around Chelsea Harbour last summer and left it in Battersea Park for another lucky reader to find).

The second was 'Murder Under a Green Sea' by Phillip Hunter - I haven't started it yet as I've got too many other books on the go, but I'm really looking forward to it! (it was actually my husband who spotted it about a month or so ago near Chelsea football club!)

message 536: by Vicks (new)

Vicks | 3 comments Hi there!
I’m Vicks, I live in beautiful Mid Wales!
I’ve been following the group on Instagram for a while, I’ve enjoyed reading some of the books!
I love fiction - I studied English and American Lit at university. So I enjoy books with a bit of social commentary and like most genres! Not too keen on thrillers though!
Currently reading “All our wrong today’s” by Elan Mastai.
Looking forward to reading more through this group!
Thanks x

VERITY (vee5000) | 1 comments Hi, I'm Verity in South Wales UK. It's always been a joke that I'll read anything including a cereal box so it's hard to pick a genre that is my favourite.

message 538: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Shayler | 1 comments Hi, I’m Rachel from Northumberland, England. I started a book club almost 4 years ago in our local pub. We meet monthly and have a really great group and varied choices.

I can’t wait for our 4th birthday when we’re each wrapping up a book, writing the genre on it and playing pass the parcel so we each end up with a gift. It was great when we did it at Christmas.

I love historical fiction but I also love reading as many of the current bookchart as I can squeeze in with a 2 year old, and her little brother arriving very soon. I loved To Kill A Mocking Bird, Memoirs Of A Geisha, The Tattooist Of Auschwitz, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin... to name a few.

message 543: by Dru (new)

Dru Aslam | 1 comments Hi Everyone! I divide my year between the States of Maine & Arizona (USA). In the midst of caregiving for my elderly parents, I’d put my reading on the back burner. I’ve recently come up with a plan to read at least 1.5 hours each day, with 30 minutes spent on biography/memoir, fiction, and some other sort of non-fiction (most typically these days something about home organization or vegan cooking). I’m excited to start reading “Waiting” and to get to know all of you!

message 544: by Gemma (new)

Gemma | 1 comments Hi I’m Gemma, I’m from London, UK. I read a mixture of fiction books, just whatever looks good to me! I prefer a book to the TV and just love reading.

message 545: by Madeline (new)

Madeline Bartchlett | 1 comments Hi everyone! I’m a little late to the party. I follow Emma Watson on Instagram and saw her hiding some Little Women books for her upcoming movie. I love the idea of fairy books. I do have trouble after I read a good book with how I can share that love to other people and being able to hide a book for someone to pick up sounds lovely! I’m from Florida, USA. And I love fantasy, romance, and some nonfiction parenting books. 🙈

message 546: by Kierstin (new)

Kierstin | 1 comments Hello, fellow book fairies!
My name is Kierstin, and I’m from the US (Midwest region). I read pretty much anything, especially if it is a book that was recommended to me personally or a “big read” such as a New York Times Bestseller or a classic. I’m currently a graduate student, so I do not have a lot of time to read for enjoyment, but I when do, you’ll likely find me having a cup of tea or glass of wine to accompany the book. Can’t wait to join in on the book discussions and to receive more recommendations to add to my ever growing to-read list!

message 547: by Ana (new)

Ana | 1 comments Hi, I’m ana, I love reading historical fiction, but I’m the kid of person that can read everything. I’m from Colombia. I usually read in Spanish but I like practicing my English every once in a while with a good book.

message 548: by Geena (new)

Geena | 1 comments Hi everyone!!
My name is Geena and I’m so excited to be a part of this! I’ve been looking for an active book club for years! I’m from Canada and I like to read pretty much everything. I can go from young adult fiction to romance to historical fiction. My all time favourite book at the time is a tie between “A Gentleman’s Guide to Bice and Virtue” by Mackenzi Lee and “The Girl You Left Behind” by Jojo Moyes.
I can’t wait to be a part of this!
