Hi, All. I'm from Las Vegas (having escaped from NJ winters). Yes, I 'm an author of best-selling mysteries and thrillers, but I'm an avid reader and researcher. I left a group where "readers" discussed everything but books. Very discouraging. Liked the looks of the discussions here. I love fresh approaches to mysteries and thrillers that keep me turning pages. Hope to add to discussions from the perspective of a reader and an author. My BIG thing in looking at books (aside from character and plot) is continuity. Don't tell me a character's an only child and later introduce a sibling!

Al Bednorz Amarillo Texas retired Master Social Worker. I have stared a book by Anne Hillerman daughter of Tony Hillerman titled Rock with Wings. All the action takes place on the Navajo reservation in our South West.
Welcome Angela and Al! Hop on over to the Now Reading/Just Finished thread and tell us what you're reading. We look forward to your participation.
I'm C.J. Shane from Tucson. I'm a visual artist (oil painting) and a writer. I've published seven nonfiction books. My first novel, a mystery-suspense titled *Desert Jade* will appear in November (if all goes well). I look forward to meeting and interacting with you.

M.A.R., Good to know. I am currently slogging through Empire be Scott Card and having a difficult time of it and Friday by Robert Heinlein a mystery in that it is interesting to see his vision of the future in an Apocaliptic World. Oh, Beware I can not spell worth a damn.
