Liza (lizaburgos) ***SPOILER***

I liked how Jamie was very sad and even cried when he was about to sleep with another woman. It shows how much he misses Claire and he realizes then that he is about to betray her.

I'm glad they didn't show Jamie doing the deed with this other woman. Think it would have been too much for us to have to watch. However, we did have to watch Claire with Frank and I couldn't help but be more mad at her than Jamie. His seemed to hurt more. Now this may all change when he marries Laoghaire.

Diane | 1360 comments It is easy to do a hidden spoiler so somebody does not acidentially read something they know nothing about. I will give an example with spaces added so you can see it.

< spoiler > your text goes here < / spoiler >

That way (view spoiler) and nobody gets that accidental spoiler

Diane | 1360 comments I relly enjoyed this episode and how they showed us that Jamie was not really himself at all during this time. He was so lost and only "half human" from being so isolated. I actually didn't mind the scene with Mary McNab. I think it helped bring Jamie back to himself a bit. I also liked seeing Clair tring to rekindle things with Frank even if it was superficial. Frank knew where Clair's heart was and just couldn't continue. I can relate to that. I think this episode made all the characters involved realistically human. And Fergus - Oh sweet boy! with one strike and now I live a life of leisure. Love him! I know things are not exactly as they were in the book but I love how this show brings the books to life and are a companion to the books giving them another diminsion. I am glad I read the books first though so I can experience both mediums.

Maureen | 59 comments As far as spoilers... We are ok to discuss anything that happened up until and including the current episode without a spoiler tag, right? Just nothing that hasn't occurred yet in the shows.

I completely forgot about Fergus so I was SO shocked! It was kind of fun being surprised!! Like I was a newbie!

I didn't mind the scenes with other partners for either Claire or Jaime. Claire thought Jaime was dead and she was trying to get on with her life like a normal person. Its really too bad Frank noticed how she was being, I think it could've healed them both a bit to get back to being intimate again. But then the shot of those 2 twins beds. How "I Love Lucy" of them! And poor Jamie, I'm glad he connected with Mary. He was obviously not himself for many years, facing indefinite prison, so lonely... I hope he is back to himself more next week. He was a wreck.

In the books, while he was hiding from redcoats at Lallybroch, doesn't Jamie (view spoiler)

Beth MacCabe | 48 comments I believe Jamie put his thumb in the babies mouth to suck on in the book. I do like how Jamie and Claire in this episode had to each have their eyes closed when intimate with the other person. Obviously, they were thinking about each other instead of who they were with.

M. MacKinnon | 121 comments This is such a difficult book to bring to the screen, with all the jumping back and forth in time and place! I love the changes the writers have made so far in order to keep it moving and retain the emotional quality of the books, without sacrificing continuity. The previews suggest that we might be jumping to the sixties soon, and that means Roger and Bree. I think I'm ready to say goodbye to Frank, even though I love Tobias Menzies; he's just so miserable with a wife who's in love with a ghost!

Haha ok Beth. I thought I might've remembered that incorrectly! And it did show him putting his finger in the babes mouth by no comment on it.

This is very difficult to bring to screen. I love it so far though. It is like a dream come true for my favorite book characters to come alive on screen! <3

I love how Caitriona Balfe looks so spectacular in every era. I suppose she doesn't get all the credit because the costumes are just so great but I am amazed every week how she looks. The 60s look fun for next week too! The print shop can't come soon enough!

Katherine Schilling (schillingkat4) | 2 comments I really like how the show portrays the book. AS I get older and reread the books I understand the motives and emotions a lot more. This book has grown on me.

I don't mind the Claire and Frank thing. If anything I feel really bad for him. He loved Claire so much and Claire though she loved him before the whole Jamie thing. They always wanted a child before the War. Frank feels that this is a chance at a new beginning and a way to start over an connect with Claire.

When Claire came back she didn't 100% come back since she lost her other half. I think baby Brie helped her cope with the loss of Jamie. If it wasn't for Brie I think she would have been half human too.
