Series Catch Up Month

If you've been around for any BOTM poll, then you've probably noticed that the Series in Progress poll has a ridiculous amount of books on it. You all overwhelmingly voted for the group to have a month dedicated to catching up on series we've already started (this will not get rid of the Series in Progress poll).

The Series Catch Up Month will be twice a year and there will be no BOTM suggestions for this. Instead, there will be four polls with series started during different years. For example, in 2012 the group read Shiver, so the sequel Linger would be in the 2012 poll. The year does not necessarily mean when the book came out. If we started a series during 2012, but the sequel didn't come out until 2013, the sequel would be put in the 2013 poll. The current year is not included in Series Catch Up Month. I hope that explains how the polls are done.

In addition to the SCUP, the oldest books that haven't been read will be archived at the end of the year. This means that they will no longer appear in the normal Series in Progress poll and that they can't be BOTM. There will be discussions for these books though, so if you really wanted to talk about them there will still be that option, they just won't be BOTM.

After the first SCUP, series started in 2012 and 2013 will be archived. Going forward we are planning on only archiving the oldest books.
