I haven't picked up Gann yet, I went for Sumage first, because I know Carriger is a pretty safe bet for me.

Last Hour of Gann is...problematic. It's really well written, great characters who really show growth and devlopment, compelling story and the set up of it is fantastic...and then all the graphic rape ever. Perfectly understandable that some people don't want to read it.

If you guys would prefer that we skip it, we can. It's not for everyone. And Gail Carriger is always awesome. I had preordered that one anyway, and it is great and I love it!

Gann is still on the maybe someday list, but I think for now I'll skip it. Sumage Solution was really sweet and funny, and that's more the mood I'm in right now.

While I know they said early on that it was (soo) like sewage, I keep saying it in my mind as (sum). Which just makes me want them to add things! :P

When would everyone like to get together?

This time I read both of them :)
I have some problems with my visa, so there is a possibility that I have to go back to Turkey for a while. I'm not sure my situation.
I'm still waiting for an answer from foreigners' department.
(I think they will return to me before the end of August, my visa ends on 1. September)

I can't say a date for now, but if you haven't decided a date when I learn the results, I can suggest or vote for a date :) (I don't have a flat or something in Turkey, so I need to arrange things too if I have to go back and as you know, this kind of things takes a lot of time)

Awww, that's sad! You barely got time to settle in. :(

Well, we'll think lucky thoughts for you! We'll aim in general for after the ladies have their hangout, and we'll hope you'll get a good answer from them and everything will work out for you to stay, I hope.

OK, multiple schedule shifts later.....

I'll be working later next week to help cover some ah, "slight" under-staffing issues. >:( So the earliest I'd be able to show is 9 pm for you gals. Would an hour later be OK if it's on the weekend? If not, I should have a couple days off the following week, (probably the 10th and 12th, not sure yet).

hi ladies

I tried to create a new topic for the september picks, but I couldn't create a new topic, because I'm not an moderator. :(

OK, so! I can either do the 9th or 10th at about 9pm French&German-Time (*TM*) or I can do the 12th at regular time. Jen don't care as long as someone shows up ;) do either of those work for you Elif? :) Did you get to stay?

9th is better for me. Normally we don't allow to make noise at dorm after 10 pm, but nobody cares for Saturday nights :D
We don't have a supervisor or something like that living here, but I don't want to disturb people if it's a school day. (Most of the people go to bed at 10 pm)

Saturday sounds fine. Just remember I will kill you if you spoil the premier of Outlander for me because I can't watch it until Sunday. :)
