Q.1 - What was your initial impression of Rachel, and how did it change throughout the course of your reading?

Well I read the back and I can't wait to dive into it <3 Rachel looks INTERESTING!!!!!

Rachel has a very interesting story. As you read along with her, one tip is take note that her story is dated a year after Megan's tale.

Also, between the two ladies, they mention a ton of characters. I have been keeping a character list and who they relate to. This helps the flip flop of dates.

Hi everyone!!! I loved the book ... couldn't put it down ... finished it the day after I picked it up bc I had to know what happened lol

Rachel is definitely an interesting character ...

I think I felt pity towards her in the beginning but it shifted toward more of a ... um I think it's time to get it together toward the middle of the book ... and then I felt differently again later on as the story progressed

More than anything it got me into the reading zone again ... have read four other books since ... various genres ... from Power of Positive Thinking to Angie Martinez's book ... really excited to be back :)

Welcome Kim!! I am on the fence with Racheal, but do you think the story would have been different if Rachel was 100 100% coherent at all times?

The story would have been very different if Rachel was always with it ... I think her inability to be completely coherent is a major reason why many things transpire as they do in this book

Yes, I would love for us to have a better way to communicate without refreshing--maybe a google chat or something? I will begin reading tonight as I finished Julia Alavrez' book. When will our next discussion be?

Soooooo, I'm up to page 62 and all I can say is wow!
Q1. My initial impression of her was pity but then it changed when I realized that she had A LOT to do with the outcomes. I still pity her bc who wants someone to go through what she's been through? ... but she needs help!

The story may have been different if she were less drunk all the time but you never know bc she just has a lot going on.

Please let us know what pages you would like for us to discuss during our next meet-up. It would be cool if we could use a better/faster forum to keep the discussion going!
