Looking for a book i read in the last 8 months. It about the hero wanting to get revenge against this doctor because the doctor wouldn't help the hero's pregnant wife because he did have enough money and she and the baby died. One night during a snow storm the heroine runs away from the guy that she is suppose to marry because he tries to rape her. She ends up on the hero's property and he takes her in out of the blizzard. When the hero finds out who she is he decides to seduce her as revenge against the doctor who happens to be the heroines father and she wants to seduce him so she can lose her virginity beings that is why the guy wants to marry her for. They ends up doing it an when he takes the heroine home after the blizzard he makes sure to rub it in her father's face then leaves. The heroines father is so enraged about her not being a virgin anymore (begins that is the only reason the other guy would agree to marry her and let her father out of him gambling debt) that he throws her out in the cold an tells her never to come back. With no where else to go and because her father told her she was a whore she goes the the saloon to become a prostitute to make money. The hero happens to be in the saloon drinking when the other guy come to talk to him and the hero see the heroine coming down the steps dressed and ready to start her new life. The other guy then talks to the hero about how she was suppose to be his an admits to trying to rape her and then say that he was going to be able to sample her anyways. The hero hits him and end up taking the heroine an leaving but she tries going back because she has no where else to go. That's about all i can remember does this ring any bells.

I believe the hero's last name started with a W. Mr. Walker or Mr. Winters or something like that.
I just remember that the hero offers to hire her as is cook and/or housekeeper to stop her from going back to the saloon to be a whore.
