Just finished Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI and started Precious Victims.
I started reading Sleep My Child, Forever by John Coston. Oh my goodness.....this woman!!! Unbelievable...!
FINALLY, a true-crime story to share:
Blood Royal: A True Tale of Crime and Detection in Medieval Paris. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Rita wrote: "I started reading Sleep My Child, Forever by John Coston. Oh my goodness.....this woman!!! Unbelievable...!"Rita, if you like that one, let me suggest Precious Victims. The crime is not only indefensible -- it's distinctly weird.

I love these kinds of books Fishface and I have read Precious Victims. It was brutal but fascinating! It was years ago when I read this book. Thanks Fishface!!!!!
Rita wrote: "I just started reading Perfect Gentleman by Jay Slade Fletcher. This is a really good read."I had a feeling you would like that one. Just started Ice and Bone: Tracking an Alaskan Serial Killer. It's quite good.

Happy New Year, allI was just wondering: is it anathema to mention books that are fictionalized accounts of true crimes in group discussions?
Beth wrote: "Just started 'SLEEPING BEAUTIES' by Stephen King and Owen King"I really want to know what you think of that.

I hope not. Some of those are great reads!

Only about 80 pages in but it is pretty good so far. I did delete my first post because I thought the thread was only about true crime but now I see that it isn't. Hope you like long books because it is 702 pgs long
I just started reading Paralyzing Summer: The True Story of the Ann Arbor V.A. Hospital Poisonings and Deaths by Zibby Oneal and S. Martin Lindenauer...

That's true.
Could you mention a few favorites? I've only read 1 Dean Koontz for example, but now that I know Intensity is based on the life of Ed Kemper I am thinking about looking into it. That's as far as I've gone because I already have Carolina Skeletons, Wolf Whistle, Some Unknown Person, The Fascination Parlor and The Tarnished Eye on my TBR pile which I dasn't approach because of the stinging aftertaste of The Slaughter: An American Atrocity.

The group is for True Crime readers and most of the discussions do revolve around TC books, however, this thread is for whatever you are reading.
Kind of like the chat thread is anything on your mind or what's happening in your life.
