The Same Ending (Spoilers for ACOMAF & EOS)

I didn't pick up on this when I first read the books so I'm glad you pointed it out! You have a point. I can see how things can feel a little redundant, but I don't think it feel like lazy writing to me because both "surprise" marriages weren't really that surprising if you think about it. They both got married to their mates, so it was expected to happen eventually. SJM just chose to skip the hype of a wedding because it wasn't important to the overall progression to the plot and would add unnecessary romantic fluff. Instead, she used the wedding, as you said, to heighten suspense for the next book. I don't think the endings bothered me too much because they were both still different enough to stand apart from one another. Enough so, that I didn't even pick up on the striking similarities.

I am so happy someone else noticed this, the second i finish the book those where my exact thoughts

i didn't really notice it but it doesn't overly bother me

It's what happens when lazy writers write two series at one time, especially if one series is only written so the author can swoon over a certain ((abusive)) character instead of wanting to tell an actual story.

Sarah J Maas will never not be a goddess in my mind. That being said, my opinion is probably pretty biased. Sarah J Maas' characters are so unique and vivacious in their own ways, yet there are some remarkable similarities between her heroine's story lines, I will admit. I think the reason both Celeana and Feyre's books shared the same ending is a statement. Both Celeana and Feyre were forced (or chose) to fight in enemy territory. Are not all women forced to fight in enemy territory? Across different worlds and landscapes powerful themes reach across the page. It doesn't matter what your past is made of or whether or not you prefer to read or paint, one thing will always remain the same. We're all here to fight. Every character exists to fight and trudge forward. So I quite enjoyed Maas' twin endings as she cemented a belief I already held. All characters are connected through a golden thread and I adore the fact that Celaena and Feyre share such a similar experience. We all have things in common, some of us share the same crappy experiences and it only seems right that the two most bada** people I know should share something as well.

P.S The suspense it brings kills as well ;)

I think think it could also be put to the fact that overall when looking at the two series side by side you are able to see a large amount of similarities in all of the characters and at the end of the day Feyre and Aelin are no exceptions to that. Sarah has a particular writing style and sure that can make the series have similarities but I don't think that makes her lazy as such. I think that she has made excellent decisions with both series and she should not be called lazy for making one "mistake" as some people would call it.

Not making any digs at anyone just saying my opinion
