What are good book series of scifi ships' crews like Mike Brooks’ "Keiko" series and the Dark Matter TV show?

I like series of scifi novels that focus on the adventures of a diverse or even motley crew aboard a ship. Mike Brooks' "Kieko" series, starting with _Dark Run_, is one such series, but I want more. Any recommendations--preferably not self-published books.

The "Expanse" series of novels and the Old Man's War series of novels are very close to what is great about the "Keiko" series, IMO.
