Marie | 4028 comments I do not know about everyone else, but I started this early this morning and I am really liking this author. He has the ability to pull you right into the story. I am 7% into the book.

I haven't started yet but I've read other stuff by Adam Neville and he can scare me to death!

message 8: by Marie (new)

Marie | 4028 comments Yeah he's scary alright! My mouth was dry reading the first story as it was still dark here and I was in gasp mode. :) lol

The original occupant ties into the ritual. That was the first Adam Neville book I read. So far I've liked both stories.

Ctgt | 765 comments Finally started and finished the first story, really good job of setting up an uncomfortable atmosphere, the slow increase in tension worked really well. Off to a good start.

These are some of the weirdest stuff I've ever read. Nothing like his full length novels. So far my favorite is to forget and to be forgotten. The ancestors was good too.

message 19: by Nickronomicon (new)

Nickronomicon | 179 comments I just finished "What God Hath Wrought." I liked it and I have liked all that I've read so far. "Yellow Teeth" is my favorite story at this point, but now I'm remembering how much I liked "Pig Thing," maybe that's my favorite!
I agree, these have a different feel than his novels and I think I like his novels better. It's more of a quiet horror and I find I have to be in a certain mood to really enjoy it.

I like his novels more as well. These are just so odd lol. It's not a bad thing but I found it difficult to really get into these and they didn't scare me like I had hoped.

Ctgt | 765 comments Really enjoyed What God Hath Wrought, big fan of the weird western so that story hit a sweet spot for me.
