Black People Read

[close] We will read one book a month from Black authors in fiction (drama, suspense, crime, romance) Nonfiction (historical events, classics, biography’s, auto-biography’s, memoirs)

We will meet once per month (usually the last Friday) evening at a restaurant, bar, or lounge.

Members are encouraged to become a part of the group on Good Reads (they have an app) where they can be updated about meeting location, info on the book or get caught up if you missed a meeting.

Members are encouraged to bring a friend (serious readers only) who are interested in joining. There will be events throughout the year to dedicate time for social aid and new membership.

Members are also encouraged to create a Gmail account where they can reference updates and meetings via the Gmail calendar.

Members are encouraged to suggest the book of the month, location, and always encouraged to BYOB&B (Bring your own Bottle)!
