I'll be posting the book winners as soon as I get the information I need from the authors.
Have a good night! I hope to see you all at the picnic next week!

You would have to knock David off first!
But under the right circumstances I would too. I think if it was a choice between going west or being a soiled dove so to speak I would. or if you are so poor that its a choice between eating and starving! Many of the brides left poverty and a life that of exploitation, some still didn't end up with a good match but where they did many did do well.

Then we can describe the man who wins our basket OR choose a LIh hero and "borrow" him for lunch?

We were talking about mail-order-brides earlier in the week and I'd like to return to that subject as my books in this new..."
I think if someone was trying to force me to marry some older man or a man with lots of problems, that I could consider being a mail order bride. Only if the circumstances were impossible at home. I would be scary though.

Conflict! Love it, or hate it?
First, my two-cents-worth - I hate conflict in my own life, but love it in a good story! The twists and turns along the road of roma..."
Like you I hate conflict in my own life.
But in books, I like to see the characters work out their problems and have a happy, peaceful life.

What would you do?

I still think I would consider becoming a mail-order bride, just to have a father for the baby and someone to help provide & raise the baby. But even my hubby says that I am pretty adventurous. (I used to hitchhike before he put an end to it.)

Spoken like a true mother! : ) The hero in my book is a widowed doctor. I can't tell you how circumstances force them together--it would give away both of the twists to the stories, But I think you would Dr. Trace Warren a chance in the heroine's position. And maybe a second look as well. : )

Becky! You hitchhiked in this day and age!!!! Thank goodness your husband stopped you!
From your answer, I think you would definitely do as my heroine does in Wedded for the Baby. You have her innate courage.

I look forward to reading Wedded for the Baby. It sounds marvelous and whoever designs the LIH covers does a fabulous job. I just love the covers they come up with.

I agree with you about the LIH covers. We authors submit three suggestions for covers, and then the Art Dept. chooses one. They do a great job!

The heroine is not widowed, and it is not her-- Nope! That's as much as I'll say about the situation. I think it's unique...at least I've never read a story like it.
