I remember the book cover... (see title of post) It is realistic fiction. I probably read it around 7 years ago circa 2010 and I believe it was a newer published book around that time. The Dad is involved in an accident and does not tell the young daughter and slowly the family unravels bc of it. I remember Memorial markers being placed by the tree. Any idea what the name and author of the book were?

What kind of accident? About how old is the daughter?

Car accident. I believe the Dad killed the person and the daughter was in the car. I believe she was like 8 or so.

I believe the Dad just drove away from it after a moral dilemma and is distraught by it. It happened in a neighborhood... he was driving fast, and later he'd see people going to the tree where the person was killed leaving memorials and such.

I was curious so clicked on this and noticed it was on the "Cover Couples" listopia...

That led me to another book that shares the same cover art, and sounds like the description fits.

Actually when I looked up mockingbird it's not the book I meant but figured I wouldn't bother with trying to find the book anymore. It is long drive home. Thanks for solving the mystery!
