I haven't read the book but saw the movie: Me Before YouThere's a small part of Creation in Death that includes this.
I’m on mobile so I don’t know how to link, but The Postmortal by Drew Magary is a book about what life would be like if no one died of natural causes told from the perspective of an “end specialist” - someone who kills anyone that is ready to die and doesn’t want to do it themselves.
The short story, "The Sooey Pill" by Elaine Slater, which appears (among other places), in her short story collection Sweet Mysteries of Life. Sweet Mysteries of Life
Welcome to the Monkey House by Kurt Vonnegut - the title story has suicide centers. It's kind of a rapey story that doesn't seem very pc in 2021.

In the movie there exists this legal euthanasia pill called "Quietus" that you can buy for a peaceful and pain-free suicide.
Now I'm thinking how interesting it would be to build a story around that.
Are there any books out there that explore that? The idea of any form of euthanasia possibly legalized and what an impact that would have on society?
The surroundings that lead to such a thing existing. The controversies. The groups that would fight each other over whether or not such a thing should exist let alone be legalized.
How it would change the world.
Is there any book that picks up on something like that? Maybe not even as the core of its main story but at least part of it?
