Specific things that happened - posed to anyone who read it recently.

Was there a portrait/photo of anyone on the walls at the school Christopher attends? The founder perhaps, something that gets focused on at times?

Aside from knowing all the prime numbers, did Christopher and Siobhan play a game of assigning colours to numbers? (Basically synesthesia, forget if it's talked about directly)

Someone is looking for a book that put me in mind of this one, but I forget if these two things that she remembered actually happened in this one.

when I read it I got really confused. Is the main character autistic?

It doesn't explicitly state that he is, but, from what I've heard, it is agreed that he has Asperger's Syndrome. :)

Yes, Sophie is right. The author is getting a lot of grief for being inaccurate in his description of autism. He didn't really do any research. But Chris is definitely somewhere on the spectrum.
