@bookconcierge - wow! the whole thing?! I suffered through part of Book IV in Latin, can't imagine what sort of sadists would make teens read the whole thing!
wow, BC...kudos to you! i'll admit to debating read it (but I didn't vote for it)...I found one of the great courses at my library based on it (12 lectures of 30min each) - so I'm going to do that at the same time I think

I liked Ovid's Metamorphosis. better.
I did 5 yrs I think - took GCSE in it. I'd've considered doing Latin for my A-level, but I think that the Aeneid Book IV helped kill that idea - Aeneas was SUCH a prick to Dido in the book, I couldn't bear it!As for ancient Greek - it clashed with an English course I did, so no go there.
